Logged into MyBMW this morning as I obsessively seem to be doing every day now and was excited to see that production has started!

I Found a few dealers near me.

1st requires $3,000 unsure if refundable 10 people in line.
2nd requires $4,000 non-refundable I'd be 3rd in line but only 1 allocation so far.

Just put the deposit down yesterday! 1st in line for the next allocation, doing ED delivery, targeting July.

Found a great dealer willing to sell for ED MSRP with $2K deposit.

Let the waiting game begin!!

I've been a little worried they won't get an allocation for a while, but my CA tells me they "can't see why they wouldn't get one next month!"... I feel like she thinks this is just like any other BMW

I'll let you know if I get a production number - are you in the order bank?

Yeah, I get the same feeling. I put my order in about a month ago, and I'm sitting at 047 status. Hopefully they get two allocations next month...😉

Folks, status 047 just means a request was put into the order bank. The order bank is a queue for pending orders, not existing orders. Orders are actually taken when and if an allocation is granted.

three weeks ago for me. but they just told me today that my order was deleted somehow just by sitting in there a long time. they said they resubmitted it 2 days ago.

Do certain dealers get ED allocations? Mine said the M2 isn't available for ED/PCD but I know a bunch of people on here are doing that. I'm number three in the queue with two cars already in production. They think they're getting one a month. The deposit is non refundable once the car is in production. They wanted $2,500 but I got them down to $1,000.

That would be my guess too. So far still no customer allocation released. Starting to think maybe 4/16 is the day first orders can be put in.

If they actually have non-HEA allocations, then this should be the first mention of regular allocation production of the M2? You may not care, but it's useful info for others. Besides monthly dealer allocation allotment, the obvious questions would include what are the dealer production dates of the non-HEA cars.
