A suggestion for this thread - it was very difficult to find times in the M3 thread once it got very long. Is the OP up for maintaining an updated list in the first post so they are all listed? I know it is a ton of work and no worries if you don't feel like doing it.

I'm thinking about doing an event in December with PDG. Which group do you usually go with? PDG, Chin, etc?

David, how did you like the Pagids.....how many track days did you get. Can you leave them on while you street or do you switch back to stock?

Good to know. I am trying to do minimal track prep, so I am hoping to find a track/street pad. On my C5Z track car I ran Carbotech and they were quiet on the steeet and had bite on track....but I am told that is unusual.

Very good time at NCM....love that track. Can you give me more details about your set up....brand of camber plates and settings, tire size, etc. What is the reason for just a downpipe without any other exhaust changes...all my previous cars were NA so this is new to me .Thx

Car has ground control camber plates with -2.5 degrees camber (needs more, corded outside tires), Pagid RS29 pads with Castrol RSF fluid (brakes were gone even after bleeding, it is hard to tell if we found the limits of the pads or the stock calipers/rotors), and RE71R tires with 265/19 in front and 285/19 rear. The downpipe reduces temperatures at the turbo, increases throttle response, and will get you a couple of horsepower even without an additional tune. On the street I run a mild boost increase but on track I turn it off for the more linear torque curve of the stock tune. |

Like Ric said, they aren't ideal for daily use. They clunk and squeal a bit which can get annoying. I leave the RS29s on for a couple days after each track event to clean the rotor a bit on the street and then I switch back to stock pads. I also install the RS29s a few days before each event to bed in again before hitting the track. |
