M Performance Alcantara/Carbon Fiber Interior - 5 pieces - installed

Well not exactly just 2 pieces out of the 5.

I'm not all that much a fan of our "dry/matte" carbon fiber interior trim, I knew that BMW made some the Alcantara Carbon Fiber Interior Kit.

So I pulled the trigger picked up the 5 piece set for the two pieces.

The two pieces that I needed

Take a look

Before
Trim above the glove box

Open the glove box door and pull the trim off - use a pry tool if necessary.

Removed

After

Before
Driver's side dash vent

very easy to install about a 5 minute install

just a quick pull

pull the ac vent out from the bottom pop it out and replace it with the new piece (sorry no photo)

Wonder if the A-symmetrical stitching is on purpose? Makes sense you don't want your elbow rubbing on the stitching.

Hi Phil, do you know where I can buy this steeling wheel? I can't find this one anymore. I like this one better than the current one showed in the BMW Shop.

Hmmmm when do you expect to have the Akra delivered and installed by? I need to come stop by anyways and check the shop out my buddy Aiman from Park Ave told me about you. I picked up my M2 LBB DCT Exec from Paul miller my good friend is a SA there and he also recommended to check your place out cause I'm 15k miles in and need a nice cleaning lol.

I also definitely want to hear the Akra in real life and check out the other mods you've done. Much better seeing them in person to help make my decision easier between MPE, Akra, and Meisterschaft. All the other stuff I'll probably just get from M Performance like steering wheel and all the cosmetic stuff.

Hope I can stop by soon I may shoot you a PM. I'm located 10 min from the Garden state plaza. Thanks Phil!

Also......unbelievable work you've done to this beauty. Can't wait to see what else you do man. Great job 👊🙌

Got some pics from the unwrapping of the Akrapovic

A quick description from the Akra site.

Made from ultra-lightweight high-grade titanium, which will lower the overall weight of the car and improve handling. This perfectly finished ECE-approved system has been tuned to get the most from the TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine of the M2 and is designed to deliver more power all the way across the rev range. This new system features two separate tubes from the downpipe to the muffler – unlike the car’s original single-tube configuration. It is perfectly routed and shaped to provide optimum gas flow from the M2’s stunning engine and deliver a noticeable performance increase. The sound has also been enhanced by Akrapovič’s engineers; the unique external sound is higher in pitch, giving a true racing feel in the upper rpm range. The Evolution Line is perfect for everyday use, with low-rpm driving smooth and refined, but still showing the true potential of the system – and, when higher revs are hit and the valves are permanently open, the sound has an addictive racing tone. A simple plug-and-play system offers a superb addition to improve the performance of the BMW M2. Carbon-fibre tailpipes give an added look to the rear of the M2, to display its sporting potential. Performance can be further increased with the addition of the optional downpipes, which can be purchased with or without cats. To set off the system to its visual best, optional parts are also available.

---------------
I'm already excited with Akra with such extreme attention to detail in just the packaging alone. Quality!

Damnnnn that akra got me jelly now. Holy shit you are Not kidding about the attention to details man. That's absolutely beautiful. Congrats can't wait to see it on. I just can't get myself to spend that kind of money on just that one piece alone. Although it does seem like it's worth it if you have the liquidity which god bless you do. Congrats man!!!!

Here is pic heavy install of the Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake for the F87 M2.

Picked this up from the team at IND.

Popped the hood only to find it a bit dusty and full of leaves so I decided to clean up the motor first.

Products used to do the engine clean up
Kranzle 1122TST Cold Water Pressure Washer
Kwazar Venus Pro Super Foamer
Wheel Woolies 20 inch Black Boar's Hair Brush
Adam's Polishes All Purpose Cleaner
Sonax Plastic Care - Exterior and interior dressing
Metro Air Force Blaster 8 hp

Hit the motor up with some Adam's All Purpose Cleaner

Agitate the dust and grime

All clear to rinse it down

A quick blow dry while the motor was running will ensure good drying times

Used the Sonax Plastic Care to dress up the engine bay

Nice and clean and ready for my next step.

Unpacking the Eventuri Carbon Fiber Air Intake.

Great packing to ensure nothing is broken in transit

Lots of stuffing and everything was organized well - packing slip.

Opened it up and it was Christmas! Who doesn't love carbon fiber!

Detailed photos of the parts

Of course being a bit OCD I went ahead and polished it out and coated it with Nanolex SI3D HD

Rupes Ibrid Short Neck
Adam’s Paint Finishing Polish
Nanolex EX
Nanolex SI3D HD - Pro Use Only
Uber All Purpose Microfiber Towels

Now to the good stuff

Actual instructions for this install are here - Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake Installation for the BMW M2

I bought mine at IND - Click here to purchase the Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake for the BMW M2
