This thread is funny and hits home for me. I'm 49 and struggled b/t getting the M2 and a new Cayman. Went with the Cayman, love the car but would be second guessing it no matter what car I picked.

Have had multiple toys but this is my first BMW and I'm enjoying every second of the whole process.. Since the first time I saw it in January until I picked up during the Performance Delivery..

As much as I love the M2, its never going to feel as special as a mid engine Porsche will. The most fun I've ever had in a car was driving a Boxster Spider around the track at Monticello Motor Club, the thing was just so amazingly balanced and everything just felt PERFECT. If anyone here doesn't need the back seats and can cough up the extra dough for the Cayman, just get the Cayman and don't even bother with the M2 since it will never be as great a car for pure driving enjoyment.
