My wife and I had the same thought.
I was glad, honestly. It was a lot of fun to get the M2 up to speed. One of the instructors told me the M2 was fastest of all their cars on that autoX course though.
Not surprising at all... It's not easy to autocross a 5 series !

Thanks for sharing. That's great built a dedicated place for such events. The last time I went to an M event, was in the city of Tustin; not feasible for such a driving event.

Got started by 8:30, with approx. 45 minutes of intro overview and general education. Finished with all activities and lunch by 12:30 pm. It's a great event.

The M2 just stuck and stuck and stuck through the turns and felt so safe to drive at speed like it would just never spin out or understeer. Like glue through the long 270 degree left hander that just goes on and on. I will never forget this experience and cannot wait for my M2!
This really makes me want to drive the M2. I also have a M235i and just did my first driving event with it at the beginning of this Month. The instructor said that my car was fast, and I wasn't near it limits. As a novice track driver I wonder if the M2 would be too much for me, or just what I need. Either way, I still want one.

You don't need an invitation! You can just google "m track days" and you should be able to find the website and sign up. I entered my email when I was thinking of signing up and a few days later got an invite anyway. But it's open to anyone as long as you know to look for it!

I believe you need an invitation from the language in mine. I also believe M Track Days are sold out and will be complete for 2016 at the end of September.

Not sure if something is different about the thermal location, but to sign up for the Miami one in August, it didn't require invitation. That being said, I agree that availability is tricky. Sorry to lead anyone astray....

That being said, can't wait until the 2017 spots open up!

Went today with my wife for afternoon session and we loved it.
Both of us enjoyed M2 of course. But every car is special and fun.
I wish we can drive more over there.

Questions to people who attended M School. What is the difference between M Track Event and M School?

I participated in the Monday, 9/26 afternoon session. What a blast! The best event, by far, was the M2 lead and follow. I may be slightly biased but after driving all the M cars, it is the M2 for me.

Check out our experience at #MTrackDays. My wife made video on Portuguese, but she added English subtitles.

Agreed, Thermal Club's M Track Day was such an awesome experience. Many thanks to BMW for offering such an event.

Tbh, the M4 ZCP was most fun for me on the timed laps. M2 was also fun to drive but mine had squeaky brakes and felt the car was a bit tired. That being said the M2 and M4 were definitely great.

M3 laps were also good to wring out the sedan while going through some twisties... dinner provided in a lunch box at the end was the icing on the cake.

will definitely sign up for next year
