Yeah, I hate the over-branding too. In the case of the floor liners, maybe there's a nice, high quality ///M or ///M2 decal that will neatly fit over (and conceal) the obnoxious WeatherTech labels. -scr

Agreed, still buying them though cause weathertech mats are awesome. My biggest complaint about the branding/logo is the texas heat bakes out the adhesive they use to keep the logo emblem on the mat. I've had 3 pairs of the liners and on every pair one or both emblems have fallen out I wish they'd just mold it in and keep it solid black like the rest of the mat.

Ordered the BMW black and red sport line mats today for my LBB. Cool contrast in the dead of winter

I'll pass the m performance mats because I don't have time to keep it clean. Came cross OEM rubber ones (for F22) and saw a picture from a member here showing it fits m2 no problem as below. The picture also shows a better "fit" to my eye than nearly every m performance mat I have seen, except that the all black rubber does look a little bit dull to me.

BMW offer black (base line), black+beige/oyster(modern line), and black+red(sport line). I wish BMW offer black+blue as my m2 is in LBB, which they didn't yet. I believe numerous Estoril Blue m package 1er/2er/3er/4ers' owners out there wish the same thing!

So, which color do you guys think best fit? I'll pair it with mp stainless steel pedal.

This is the getbmwparts purchase link to the 3 color options.

I'm tempted to do the red or the modern line beige - just to add something to the dreary winter here in Chicago.

Anybody have a thought on how the beige might look?

A little on the high side but these are floor liners not just floor mats so they protect your interior better.

I'm assuming this is asking the obvious but the 2016 M2 floor liners fit the 2017 M2...? WeatherTech website only lists the liners for 2016 and doesn't show them if you choose 2017 M2.

The better match anyway.

Yeah, it's kind of weird. For 2017, they don't offer a floor liner option for the M2 - just some hokey cut-to-fit product that looks like crap. I wonder why they have a floor liner product for 2016 but not 2017. -scr

Just to update everybody with my review on the OEM rubber I ended up buying weeks ago - I regret it.

It fits well, feel so rigid and really is easy to clean - just everything already it's known for, BUT it's easier to get dirty, your shoes doesn't have to be wet to leave marks on that piece of rubber AND most importantly, it looks cheap even in its cleanest form. It feels far less luxurious compared to the original flannelette blue stitched one.

I am selling rubber mats and buying MP ones instead. I have to clean them once a week anyway.

Thanks for the update. After a few weeks of mulling over the options, I've decided on the same course of action as you. All of the rubber options fail to meet my personal needs/expectations in one way or another. I understand fully your comments about how the OEM rubber mats look dusty/dirty all the time. My buddy got the X5 version of those mats, and he has the same complaint. Whenever I ride with him, his mats are covered with what appear to be dusty footprints. The WeatherTech mats have advantages, but I feel they bring down the sporty ambience of the M2. And, melting snow/ice isn't much of a factor in Southern California. Neither is mud.

I ordered front and rear sets of the M Performance mats at www.shopbmwusa.com which appears to offer competitive pricing with slightly less hassle. Rather than having the mats shipped directly to me, I'll be picking them up at my local dealer (BMW of San Diego), hopefully in a few days. -scr

They may not be quite as protective, but they're probably good enough, and they sure look sharp!

Can't wait to get mine. -scr

You will like them! I am wiping them down once a week when I wash the car and they hold up well.

I ordered the weather tech matts. The fit is perfect. The down side is the clutch gets hung up on the matt when depressed. Not worth the PIA factor so switch to performance matts. I do prefer the side coverage of the weather tech, just unfortunate about the clutch pedal.

man I wish I read this earlier, I ordered a set of the weather tech mats yesterday. I have them in our X3 and they are awesome. just figured for the cost and laser cut there would be no issues. I have a 6MT - How bad is it? Could you cut away a small piece right where to clutch drops to?

Curious about this as well as I was going to order the weathertech. I have the BMS Clutch Stop so maybe that will help so it won't go so far down that it will get caught on the mat.

I'm sure it's possible to cut away the top of the matt. I emailed them and asked if they have a different matt for manual cars.

I was surprised when I depressed the clutch to have it catch, it would be nice to use them. It would be really nice if they came in the same heavy rubber as the bmw matts do, instead of the light flimsy rubber. I'm Interest in hearing about potential solutions.
