Wanted: Exterior Cleaning Advice
Question: What “all-in-one” exterior cleaning package or single exterior cleaning product company do you guys recommend?
As you all know, there are is an overwhelming number of different cleaning products and companies in the marketplace, but I am not a detailer and would like to spend about an hour to 75 minutes to wash my car. I would prefer to “hit the easy button” and buy a comprehensive package of high quality exterior products or stick with one very good manufacturer that will do right by the car. Thanks for the help. |

I’m partial to the Adam’s Polishes line of exterior and interior car care products. They’ve worked well for my Subaru’s and now for my M2.
I appreciate not only the products but also the accompanying how-to video series they produce. I get the impression that superb and yet approachable car detailing is something that company’s staff is passionate about. (Note: I’m not affiliated with Adam’s Polishes in any way — just a happy customer.) https://adamspolishes.com/ |

Same is true of so many BMW owners who use Griot's Spray-on-Wash and finishing products. Their Microfibers are really some of the finest out there.
Griot's are always at the Bimmer HQ events at Greer, SC. as BMWCCA sponsors. And they also have videos and a verrrry passionate staff and product development folks committed to quality. Hope all these help...but do some search on these products and talk to folks locally. Bests on whatever you choose. |

I like to clean well and avoid swirls, so far the quick method I follow
1. Jet wash 2. snow foam 3. Jet wash 4. Large wool pad and deep bucket with grit guard. Trying to avoid rubbing with any dirt, so lots of in and out of bucket 5. Wash wheels with seperate bucket and pad 6. Jet wash and absorbant car towel dry I can clean both my cars is 1.5 hours, easily and they always look good |

If you are interested in easy frequent washes. I really like the Wolfgang Rinseless wash. Two buckets, wash mit, and some 600 series rag company drying towels. Good technique will keep your car swirl and micro scratch free. Even with a dirty car you can do a pre rinse, foam, and then use a rinseless method.

I used to be a die hard Meguire's user but in the last few years I have switched over to Griot's products.
They are easy to use and and seem to last much longer than some other stuff I have tried. I highly recommend Griot's! |

I use Groit’s products. I consistently get great results. And they do give BMWCCA member discounts. I am lucky because Groit’s is local. Last weekend they had the BMWCCA club over for a complete product demonstration on a members M3.
