I believe I've seen mine do this at least once as well. Weird.

Mine was done at Week 44 and loaded from Bremerhaven Nov 14th arriving ETA at Halifax, Canada at 27th.

I was noted with Dec 5th ETA at dealer (from my SA) now he answered as below;

"On my system says port campaign. So you are right it did get delayed. Now eta showing 13th of December"

So it seems still on-going issue IDK if how big is the line-up to clear out to discharge but hope it goes smooth so that delay wont be much prolonged.

Called this morning and they said my car got the update yesterday and has finished processing at the Jersey VPC. Now just waiting for shipping info!

Picked mine up 1 week ago, and haven't noticed this...
Unfortunately I've only done 250Km on it. This weekend let's try to bring that up to 500

Took my week 33 LCI in for it's 1200 mile break-in service today. I asked about this issue - and the service advisor knew about it, and said the s/w update wasn't available yet - so they'd have to do the "recall" next time I was in. I mentioned there were people with cars stuck in the VPC cuz of this. He said "yeah, once the notice goes out, they can't sell them until they get the fix.".

Maybe this is old info - and only partial info at that. Just thought I'd share.

For the record, I've experienced no issues at all with the cluster in mine.

So does anyone know if the Software update is for the car or the actual cluster. I ordered my US (MPH) cluster retrofit over 2 months ago and just now received it. Just curious if the wait was so long because of issue and maybe part has been updated.

We are getting conflicting reports here. some of you have posted that your car has been updated with the software fix/patch. Others, including myself have been told the patch isn't even ready to deploy yet. Curious...

I guess some dealers have inexplicably not gotten the memo - was wondering if maybe the fix wasn't available at dealers yet (just at VPC), but someone reported they just got the software update at their dealer:

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...7&postcount=13

I've seen 4-5 folks report getting the fix since Wed, including me, so I certainly believe there is a fix. Two different 'Geniuses' told me there was a fix - one on Wed, and another yesterday morning who told me it was applied to my car on Thursday. If you are concerned, I would insist to your dealer that a fix is in fact available, and challenge them to call the BMW 'Genius' line themselves if they still claim it's not available.

Thanks for the update. My car is currently at VDC in MD still.

They'll probably do the update there then.

The issue that has impacted my car (just experienced today) is that the instrument panel is completely off, which has affected other functions on the car such as the turn signals. When you unlock the car, the instrument panel does not illuminate. i-drive is fine from what I can tell for now. Baffles me how this all of a sudden impacts all of our cars unless there was a OTA update (not sure if our cars have this ability) that was pushed and faulty.

Just experienced the exact same issue today with UK car. Obviously not safe to drive so now have to sort out recovery to local dealer and hope they have a quick fix.

Confirmed by my SA...my car is sitting in Halifax on a DO NOT DELIVER hold due to "Awaiting Port Campaign"...aka..."Our testing engineers didn't do their jobs properly when we attempted to fix an issue that previous M2 owners were bitching about, so now you can wait another 2 weeks for the car you have already been waiting over a year for."

Sorry to hear that - I feel your pain - I was starting to get irritated last Wed that my car was being held up at the Jersey VPC due to this issue, esp considering it's an ED car so I technically already own it. But my car completed processing on Thursday, exactly one week after it came off the Tombarra. For sure, it could be that Halifax has a larger backlog of cars to update - when did yours come off its boat?

Mine had its production at week 44 and it is still on the big Atlantic Ocean heading to Halifax from England Southhampton at this moment.

I am helping one of the buddy from our forum to tracking the car on CN rail, he had his car discharged at Halifax on the 1st of Nov, but still sitting their at VPC waiting to be loaded on the railcar for further travel to the owner.
Even considering the fact that he is getting MPE at VPC (Canadian cars MPE all gets port installed, including mine), it is way beyond the point of his PCD. I am still trying to help him track on CN, but his SA said no promising for the date as it still showing ETA as 17th Nov.

Cross fingers so that everything gets moving and I will have not further delay (I was also informed from my SA that my ETA has been moved from 5th of Dec to 13th...)

I posted this is another thread>

"Was just noticing the total lack of visibility, or complete blackness (why many think they are digital), of the M2 LCI gauges. Then I laughed a bit as you can't see them when you're "not driving", yet with the pre-LCI gauges you can't see them while you "are driving". Also makes me ponder if BMW made the update to the new gauge cluster prematurely as a fix to a known customer complaint and now some are experiencing problems."

What I can't understand is why didn't they just change the contrast of the already existing gauges?....and maybe added a daytime backlit feature? Seems that could have been an easy fix instead of a whole new cluster.

This. I'd be very happy with the orange lights on permanently in my pre-LCI.
