One Track Mind: M2 vs GT350 Teaser

Had an opportunity to work with this Youtube group (Thomas Holland and Pinnacle Advanced Driving Academy) yesterday. Had a great time comparing the M2 and the GT350 on the Road Course as well as the drag strip at Toronto Motorsports Park.

Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to disclose the results. Video should be ready in a few weeks. Will keep you guys updated.

For now:

Me too.

I drove my friend's GT350 about a year ago, and to this day, that flat crank V8 made the best sounding exhaust note I've ever heard in my life.
After I get my M2, I might have to trade out with him again on some weekend drives

Gotta agree, the GT350 wins hands down on sound, not even close. Cannot replicate that flat crank even with an Akrapovic.

I have so many questions for you.....lol
Which car do you enjoy driving more and why?
I'm guessing the M2 is your DD?
Did you get the MPE on your M2 and if so, how does it compare in terms of making you smile relative to the amazing exhaust note on the Shelby?
Have you tracked or auto crossed either car and if so, what were your impressions?

Its tough to pick between the two because they are so different in their own ways. I would say the M2 makes a much better all around car. Comfortable for daily use, as well as fun when pushed hard. The Gt350 is a much more "special" car. Its got a certain character to it that the M2 is lacking. I have an eisenmann exhaust on my M2 and its much better than the stock exhaust but not even close to the gt350 exhaust. I haven't tracked either one yet but plan to in a few weeks. If I had to pick one car in terms of "fun factor" it would be the gt350. But the M2 is such a great all around car.

Pretty much what I expected to hear. I was giddy driving my friend's Shelby, and my Camaro 2SS has never made me feel that way. I felt that way at times in my 997.2 GTS, but it was different (hard to explain) c/w the GT350.

I drove my friend's M2 in Atlanta a few weeks ago and unfortunately the roads were bad and it was raining, so I couldn't push the car. But nothing about the drive made me go 'wow' in the same way driving the GT350 did.
