Pretty cool to see a legit ECA being used with the secondary input to the JB4 on the F-series , unlimited tuning here.

No issues with stuttering with higher ethanol content ?

A pure turbo stage2 is just what the M2 needs!

Looking forward to see what a 91 octane tune delivers. I'm in California, so can't really run catless DP's or anything. My mods would have to be limited to something like a tune, pure stage 2, and cat back exhaust. Hopefully that would net somewhere around 400 whp?

Well that didn't take long, wonder what the numbers would be like on 91 octane and is it safe to assume the turbos plus necessary bolt ons = ~$6000?

Excellent work and props for being the first one to make an announcement for the M2.

Let's hope you can smooth out that dyno curve because the numbers look decent. Perhaps you could shed some light on how it drives now.

Are there issues with dynoing with higher ethanol? For instance, I wouldn't run E47 if I could run E60. Also, I would have thought a run on 91/93 would be nice (98 ron outside US) just to see for comparison. Everyone is asking for it.

... I guess you could say things are getting kind of serious.

Pure, do you feel the dip in the tune could be attributed to the lack of ///M mirrors?

I'm kidding.

Anyways, at least the owner can now happily fly by unsuspecting M3/M4 drivers and think: fuck your ///M mirrors, didn't want them anyways, k bye.

Why? Comparison doesn't even make sense. M4 ZCP puts down 450whp, how about a stock M2? If you really wanna compare the dyno results then just compare a modded M2 to a modded M4 or stock vs stock. I don't even need to tell you how much whp a modded M4 can make. Just take look at the home page, you will see a 700hp M4.

As I said several times before, M2 is a great car. I'm sure it's one hell of a car for that price. However, it's just silly to think that M3/4 owners will be pissed off by seeing this heavily modded M2.

If so, what sort of power @ psi would this yield.

Thanks.

Exactly. Why? Not that I dont want the M2 but the M3/4 crowd wont give a hoot about it or sweat any over it...

Basic breakdown in my perspective

M2 with DCT = around $56,600 (no discounts yet that we know of)

$56,600 MSRP
+$6500 bolt ons
=$63,100 ish
=roughly 525rwhp average...not bad itll fly right!

Ok so the M2 still weighs about the same or more as an M3, roughly 3500lbs DCT cars

M3 DCT = $66,900
Discounted, Ive seen up to 7%
=$62,200ish
$57,500 ED (whole different perspective)

JB4 & DP's = $1100 bucks roughly
=right around 500 rwhp mark

Hmmmmmmmmm just my opinion but M3 guys give no fucks
More car, not heavy modded. I guess one can argue M2 more unique and better drivers car but we all get the point.

How much would it cost to match what the M4 does stock?

That M2 dyno is the result of many more mods than "upgraded turbo with a flash tune" on pump gas.

$ for $?

The base price differences alone get you to the Pure2 turbo in an M2.

Sorry man, this has beast written all over it.

Not saying it's not a beast but the statement was M3 guys are gonna be pissed and I provided logic as to why they're not. They still have a higher class car, 500whp and not to mention a hell of a lot better cooling system. One can even argue in some cases the M3 weighs 100lbs less then an M2.

And no $ for $ it's roughly the same, so you get a pure stage 2, that's fantastic but the M3 puts down 500rwhp without pushing the threshold or envelope at all.

If I do Euro Delivery @ 6-7% under ED invoice forget it the $ factor has tipped heavily towards owning the M3.

Well considering the two motors share the same bottom end except the m2 has cast in iron sleeves and a far more rigid block due to it being a closed deck. For now the m4 has far higher modded hp figures but give it some time and you'll see 700 hp m4s pretty quickly.

you also left out the fact that it will lay down better numbers consistently because it has far superior cooling technology.

I guess we can all say well the M2 N55 has no hub bearing issues and the M2 takes the reliability nod
