Bums always seem to notice my car. I was washing it today and this Bum walked through my neighborhood (lol Bay Area) and he said I had a nice car. He then asked me if I knew the song Black Magic Woman, which I did, and then told me some "gringo" stole the song credit from him. He told me that guy got his due though because something bad happened to him. Then he told me he lost all his money and his Rolls Royce after he shot his ex wife. Anyway, he noticed my M2......

I was waiting inside my M2 for my lady on a side street in LA and a bum approached me by the side window with intensity in his body language and started yelling how my M3 (not even the right car man) sucks, I tried to pretend to ignore him but he was getting even more agitated by the second. So I bailed as fast as I can living my lady behind, lol. I thought a confrontation would lead to stupidity on my part. No worries I did come back for my Lady a little later.

I installed a dashcam in my M2, and I'm finding it quite interesting to watch the footage captured in parking mode.

I wouldn't say that it's often, but occasionally you'll get a capture of someone walking by who really stares, or walks around the car, looks in the windows etc.

It's funny to see their expressions when they think no-one is looking

I still get a couple looks here and there. Mine is AW so it's not as flashy as something like LBB. But even just cruising around at low speeds and the exhaust burble when decelerating gets people just looking.

Thanks! I bought it as is. I thought it looked great on the AW. Not sure I'd like it on the other colors. Glad I went in for service that day...it'd only been there a couple days.

Those stripes do look great on the AW, congrats! I don't mind the AW as-is, but the stripes change that car for me - I immediately imagine all of BMW's great racing cars in white with the stripes. My mind immediately connects with the historical lineage of these cars. Awesome!

Noticed an LBB right outside my garage as I was walking the dog early morning. The car was standing there idling with someone inside.
My heart went straight down to my undies, and the driver quickly pulled off right as I started walking towards him.

Took me a few good seconds to realize it's a pre-lci, with a different license plate.
Boy oh boy, what a way to start the week! no coffee needed after that.

This past Saturday, I went to a local Cars and Coffee, and noticed a couple of people taking videos as I pulled in. When it was parked, there were almost always a couple of people checking out the car. However, the crowd around the 918 Spyder was quite a bit larger.
