Definitely interested in hearing how it works for you, and what your logs look like. Some of the F30 guys were having issues:

Trying to decide if I'll go ahead and set it up for manual switching b/n 93 & E50, or just wait until I've got an ethanol sensor installed for auto switching/scaling.

Are you guys still set on using Bend's ethanol sensor kit? Still trying to figure out if I need the Universal, Basic Bootmod3, or Ultimate kit?

This is what I'm debating too. I know that there are cheaper ways than bends kit to get flex fuel.

My current plan is to get a custom tune with this new mapswitching with the below maps:

Stock
91
93
E30

Does anyone know for sure if I can set things up to manually switch between the Stg 2 93 & Stg 2+ E30 OTS maps via the steering wheel?

Or, do you have to use one of the multimaps for steering wheel map switching?

I am pretty sure you can't switch up the preset maps. You'd have to go custom tune where they will probably be able to set up whatever 4 maps you want

Map Switching seems like such a useless feature for guys sticking with the OTS maps and just want quick switching bn tanks of 93 and tanks of E30-50. At least it’s fast to switch bn maps via iPhone hardwire, now.

Guess I’ll skip this feature until I get a flex fuel sensor installed to scale bn 93 & E50 automatically via one of the pre-defined multimaps. (I think it can do this?)

Problems with bm3 flex fuel

Hey guys,

I installed everything as indicated per the instructions. Installations went smoothly and using the steering wheel controls I am seeing % of ethanol content perfectly. the problem is I am getting a code. (CDA524 FA-CAN - Status eletrical fuel pump 0X335 missing). I removed everything twice back clear all the codes and I don't see this code once I disconnect bm3 harness and run everything again. here is my variable: I have an upgrade LPFP

https://burgertuning.com/collections...walbro-upgrade

I don't get any code on that alone. but wondering if the combination of the upgraded Pump and bm3 is consuming too much power? Anyone can help here?

Do you have the flexfuel harness that plugs into the EPKM or down at the passenger footwell?

Mine plugs into the EKPM.

For me, the EKPM failed, likely due to my Stage 2.5 LPFP. I replaced the EKPM with a ET3 Stage 2 and haven’t had any issues yet.

BM3 revised their harness to be like the B58 version. It now plugs into the module behind the passenger side kick panel. Too many people were having issues with the original one with that plugged into the EKPM.
