Just bought a Porsche GT4... Omg!

Well I went all in and bought a GT4 3 days ago without even test driving... All I can say is, OMG!

You shouldn't even be allowed to do a comparison between the M2 and GT4 because they are polar opposite! The GT4 is planted, the gearbox, its like engaging a bolt action rifle and sound from the engine is unreal! I feel the M2 is just a car and the GT4 is a race tool...

That said, we are talking 40k more for the GT4 and not as usable as M2. Still love the M2, just blown away by the GT4!

Best of both worlds, M2 DD, GT4 other-worldly different day.

So let me get this straight, a car costing 40k more is better? Wow! May want to keep spreading this news.

May want to look up polar opposites also.

Enjoy your ride

Wow... congrats on the new car. I'm sure it's bomb.

That Porsche looks to be a great car, though a polar opposite would be something like a classic VW Beetle.

Congrats on an awesome car, but not really news on how great it is... I love the M2 but the GT4 is on a different level

If it's a previous/current M2 owner than I say it's okay to do so especially if someone is cross shopping between the two.

Why blow the guys high, he had a 1M, and now an M2, he sounds psyched on the GT4 as many of us would.

In Canada, a used GT4 is twice the price of a new loaded M2... Of course it is a better car, but there is also a big price gap (75K vs 145K)

GT4 is track oriented, while the M2 is a sport coupe.

OP talks like if he was comparing a Porsche to a Corolla tho lol...

GT4 is a better handling and less powerful GT3. There is no surprise M2 is no comparison.

No need to walk into someone's house and pee in their cornflakes. Can be happy and less insulting simultaneously.
Would probably get a warmer reaction just by talking about the wonderful Porsche

Congrats!

All i can say is, after driving the GT4, I wouldn't want the M2 in manual. no comparison. just gonna love how the manual feel in a Porsche, any Porsche basically. a DCT M2 and Cayman GT4 would be perfect garage mates though. covered both ends.

I concur, I drove a GT4 a few weeks back and that experience is firmly etched in my mind forever. I'd have swapped my F80 for it in a heartbeat!

The noise, the gearbox, the planted feel, fast enough without feeling too fast for the chassis or roads...

The want is strong... Not sure how I can resist one for very long, but I still love my F80...

I'm also tempted more and more. Waiting for the CS but looking at the prices of GT4s in the EU coming slowly down and the car being my dream for so long, I might do the same next spring albeit with just a GTI as a DD.

There is something about that Porsche that I can't explain, I just crave for one

For m4 CS money, better look at Carrera CS or GTS.

Cracking car OP. One of the the very best drivers car out there.

Here in the UK I can't see anyone shopping between the 2.

M2
£46k
4 seats

GT4
£90k
2 seats

They are almost chalk and cheese.
