Hello Bimmerpost!

I'll try to be as brief as possible considering this is the Photos and Videos section, but I think an introduction is in order.

I've been lurking around Bimmerpost for way too long now whilst waiting for my M2 and now it is finally here.

Spec worth mentioning:
- Mineral Grey
- 6MT
- 666M wheels
- Akrapovic exhaust
- Akrapovic carbon diffuser
- Bmw m-performance steering wheel with display
... + some more goodies that you will notice on the pictures.

Me and my very good friend Makman who introduced me to bimmerpost, decided to buy one M2 each and have some fun with them.


So in this thread...
... Both me and Makman will share our precious "Magic moments" with our two M2's whilst having some Q and A's and discussions about future mods, trips or random stuff.

And I hope you guys will upload some of your magic M2 moments here as well!

First of, starting with some pictures of my car.

- M-performance coilovers or KW springs
Q: Witch should I pick and why? M-performance coilover kit or just KW springs?
What to order as been bugging me for a long time now and I can not decide, help me please!

- M-performance carbon sides (aerodynamic)

- Aftermarket front spoiler, not decided witch one yet.
Q:Any suggestions?

- Acexxon's reflector replacement. (picked them up today)

A friend has an M3 Comp pack (orange) and the wheels look horrible. They look awesome on this MG. Love the look. Unfortunately, they are much heavier wheels.

I wish we had the option for silver 437's. I would prefer those on my BSM.

Did you send in an official application in order get the smaller "US style" number plate? Or did you just change it yourself and take the fines if you're ever stopped?

How do you like the 6MT and MPerformance wheel with that gearbox, it works same as with DCT - shift lights and all?

Got pulled over my first day for not having any plate at all, didn't get a fine though, but I decided that this is better than nothing at all
The "magic reference" works two ways. "Deeply encrypted" in my name, and for all of our precious moments with the M2's hehe..
Hope to see more people post some beautiful M2 moments in this thread now when spring has arrived in Europe

Benef1cient: From the beginning i just bought the wheel cause of the alcantara and to see the oil temp etc. (and because it's freeking cool to have a display in the wheel of course)
But now I must admit that I am totally in love with the shift lights. I love them and would not have the car any other way.
Super nice to just run through the gears, look at the road, listen to the engine and get a small reminder for when the perfect time is, even though you can hear it 9/10, you know that every single shift is perfect.

I like those wheels so much better than the stock wheels. Was that a build option? I feel like I missed the boat on that now.

Wheels are about 5lbs heavier. Doesn't sound like much but in the world of wheels, it is. Unsprung weight is the worst. But, you can't argue with the looks!

ja3v: You didn't miss any boat. The wheels are bought separately from the car, from my BMW dealer though. But you can't get them straight out the factory.
Personally I love these wheels, and everyone that's seen the car is commenting on how nice the wheels look on it. So they are a success. Expensive, but worth it.

jdarwin: I'll live with those 5lbs, I'm not out to set any Nürburgring records just yet. But when the time comes to break some records I'll switch rims and the tires on them. Michelin Pilot Super Sport isn't ideal either, but I like them.
