M2 Allocation Waiting List

First post - long time lurker/BMW owner, future M2 owner. I just received an email from my CA saying they received one extra allocation from BMW and that I was up (I was 3rd on the list, 1st guy bit and I'm guessing the 2nd person backed out). I put my name on the list almost 2 years ago. I'm not sure if it is a HEA allocation or production build but I'm excited now! I'll post when I receive more information regarding order status.

Spoke with a dealer. I would be number 3 on the list. However they only have 1 allocation so far. Would it be a good idea to put down a deposit if it's refundable given their 1st allocation isnt produced yet.. Oh it would be at MSRP to.

I know of 2 HEA cars in Michigan which were up for grabs late last week. Sharp BMW in Grand Rapids AW, DCT, Exec. Grand Blanc LBB, DCT, Exec. Both at MSRP, I want a manual and am #3 at Erhard. But give the dealers a call, if they fit the bill!

So I just received an email from my CA - order status 111 including production number but no VIN yet. Was able to put it in mybmw.com and verify so the ball is rolling!

Do we know if the first year North American M2 is going to be a MY2016 or MY2017? I feel like I've seen both mentioned.

MY2016 til end of production in June.

Also, has anyone been able to option in a moon roof through a special order? I definitely want one and saw that our European/Aussie counterparts had the option for $500.

You expected a discount on an M2?

I still want to know who on that poll ticked off "invoice" on "What do you expect to pay?" poll.

I wish a moon/sun roof was an option in the states. I really think I am going to miss one.

Ordered my M2 today! #3 on the list and I chose European delivery!

I was told to expect June of this year.

Sill have some time to decide between mineral grey and LBB!

I wasn't a fan of LBB until I saw it in person!

Regular MRSP, no BMW loyalty cash on the M cars.

Right!

I may miss the moon roof as well! Only benefit is more headroom for the helmet!

Nope! Dealer told me it will be $49,115 but because they don't have the specs for Euro delivery yet they couldn't write the bill of sale with it on there. It will be modified in the future!

Sorry, should have clarified my question. You first posted about being charged 5k more rather than getting a discount.

Some dealers are NOT doing ED unless you pay US msrp or more. Thus technically being a 5% market adjustment then. But if you got it for ED msrp, that's great

I quoted another forum member about having to pay 5k extra for ED.

Nothing extra from my WI dealer! They said I should be able to get it even sooner with ED delivery and at $49,115.
