The M2 needs to go to Jenny Craig..it looks out of shape to me. Maybe the M2 GTS/CSL diet with manual only will help.

IRL it still looks supercool from 90% of the angles. More than great car, I'm going to miss him/her when he/she's gone.
But IMHO when I saw an LBB M2 in Brussels Autoshow irl, I must say the proportions etc etc etc are much more composed, less cool/macho, but definitely more beautiful in my book. AND with character as well, don't forget that. Cheers Robin |

[QUOTE=1MOz;19504948]I did a track day test driving the new M2 coupe and took a few photos with my car & the new M2 side by side. Thought to share them with you all.
I really enjoyed the M2 on the track but is it that much better than my 1M to trade-up? NO. QUOTE] Great Pictures! But what amazes me the most is how much wider the M2 looks in comparison to the red M235i! So much more aggressive! |

Prefer the lines of the M2 in general. The front of the 1M 'nowadays' looks a bit bombastic compared to the M2. On the other hand, I prefer the rear bumper of the 1M who, imho, looks more elegant.

The front of the 1M reminds me of a geek wearing bifocals. The proportion of the headlights are way off.

To me, the 1 series was always an odd looking duck, but the 1M just made it much more easy on the eyes. I would love to own a 1M but not when I can get a brand-spanking-new M2 for the price of a used 1M. I just don't think the differences will be miles apart between the two cars, and I prefer the wide rear and front headlights of the M2.
Thanks for the photos! |
