M2 Available at MSRP at BMW of Warwick

Hi Everyone!

My name is Luke Mayer, and I'm a CA at BMW of Warwick in Warwick, RI.

We have an M2 which just arrived at the dealership, and it's available for purchase at MSRP.

The build sheet should be attached.

Thank GOD it has the first aid kit. So hard to add after the fact. Someone is going to be very lucky to get that rare option.

I was actually going to change it to "thank GOD it has the M Driver's Package, an overpriced HPDE and a whopping 13 MPH speed limiter bump that the dealer gets to line their pockets on as well"

This was actually a client's custom order, which he backed out of about a week prior to its arrival at the dealership.

The exhaust does sound pretty amazing though!

Well Luke, that's a darn shame that a "client" ordered a 53k car with 14k of options , effectively marking the car up 25 percent over it's base price and left you holding the bag...

It sure seems to happen a lot ... generally whenever a sales person posts a car for sale in these forums.

I bet the scumball bought a Porsche

It also actually has the extremely rare - 6 speed option.

Before I got my F80, there was a M2 close to my mom and dad's house for "MSRP" (with 10K in options) on a dealer lot. I called the sales guy and told him I was interested, but with a caveat - they had to take all that stuff off first. And I wanted the car at the original MSRP.

Strangely enough, they never called me back.

Wow I feel bad for whoever buys this. Charging for wheel locks and the first aid kit?? In Canada everything is included in one price, the executive package is even included in the base price. You also get wheel locks, block heater, first aid kit and rubber floor mats included for the base price. It's car, freight and PDI which is the same price on an M2 as it is on base 2 series or and X1 or an X6M. Then $500 admin charge. done. Thats the way all should be imo.

When my client saw the possibility of an M2 CS with an S55, he decided to hold off on taking the car he ordered.

I would take the car myself if the residual wasn't in the mid 40's. I just swapped my M235i lease, and need to find a fun replacement.

Why can't a dealer post an M2 available at base MSRP??

It's very obvious the dealers who post these $65k MSRP's M2's add up every option and try to sell it on here.

What's funny is that they say. MSRP. No markup! Such BS. I stay away from dealers like this.

If he knows about a CS, then he is probably on these forums ...your client should also anticipate the CS will only come with DCT and not the 6MT that he ordered

As far as the residual..

Still no guarantee the CS will be DCT only.

They can mark it up as much as they want, doesn't mean it's worth that or will sell.

My post was pointing out the absurdity of their asking price. I think it's obvious to anyone and everyone that they will never get anywhere near that price.

I wouldn't pay a penny over MSRP for a M2.
