Wheel Jack?

Is BMW not providing a wheel jack any longer? I can't seem to find the wheel jack in my M2.

It's right next to the spare tire

Would have been nice to have the jack to take the wheels off for cleaning as well as switching tire/wheels. Guess this is just one more item I need to purchase.

I would never use a car supplied jack to raise my car other than an absolute emergency. To swap wheels, clean, do brakes etc you should always use a proper floor jack and jack stand. Your local Harbor Freight sells decent and inexpensive floor jacks that do the trick.

What do you guys do if you have a flat? M2 doesn't come with runflats right?
So you have to call a tow truck on a flat?

Believe it or not AAA did a study and flat tires out on the road are very rare with modern tires so its not a high likelihood. The one time I had one was my fault, I didn't monitor my rear tire wear on my E90 and it wore through the inner corner, felt like a moron and called AAA for a tow on a flat bed. New BMW's come with roadside support so no reason to make a mess with the flat gel crap in the trunk.

I would avoid using the Horror Fraught jacks for much. I had one get stuck in an *up* position after the U-joint that connects the handle to the pressure release snapped. Thankfully I had a second jack that could pump higher than the HF jack or else I would've been in a shitty situation.

For not a whole lot more than the HF jack, you can get something a bit better at Costco. (Arcan is the brand - probably still Chinesium in origin, but seems a bit better QC than the HF stuff.)
