Left the port as in it?s now at the VPC? Or left the VPC?

The dates sound about right if it?s at the VPC and then going to leave. Any port installed parts?

I do not believe there is a Vehicle Preparation Center (VPC) in Canada. As I understand, it goes straight from the port to the train (or truck if you are close to the port) and the dealer does the delivery prep.

If I check the cargo ship tracking it says that it was "Discharged" Aug 29th, this is when the ship was unloaded I believe, and that it was "Delivered From", I assume from the port to the train, on Sept 5th. My dealer claims it is on the train and on route to Vancouver as of today, the 6th. So everything seems to line up.

Your car was almost certainly on the same ship as mine.
They installed port parts for the MY16 cars there, so I was assuming things haven?t changed, but maybe they have.

And my car has been here a while, we just celebrated our first anniversary a month ago

Ha... got you mixed up with the guy waiting for his car.

I was told by my dealer that there were no port installed parts and that it was done at the dealer before delivery. My research appears to confirm this.

Edit: Here's a thread about it

Update on Canadian Tracking Links

Notified today (10/10/2017) about the arrival of our new 2018, Alpinweiss, manual M2. Barely one month from production date to arrival at dealer in Ottawa, Ontario. All links in the original post are active and relevant. Only glitch was that I lost sight the car between Halifax, Nova Scotia and Montreal, Quebec. (this leg was shipped by CN rail and took 8 days to clear customs and arrive at destination). Hansen's Forwarding were less than two days accepting and moving the M2 between Montreal and Ottawa dealer. Just in time for snow tires...

Impossible, we're not set up the same as the US system so the best route will be your CA/SA with just a production number.

If any Canadian folks need CN tracking to see your vehicle moving between VPC to your local CN terminal (until you can track using Hansen's), PM me.

I have access to CN tracking anytime using computer and cell phone.

Cheers

Anybody have any luck? typing in the last 7 digits of my week 49 products does nothing. Does the car actually have to be produced yet?

try http://www.bimmer.work
If your date shows 0000-00-00, it means it did not finish its production.
Date will show up at the very last step in production.
If production date is indicated, meaning that the car will be sent over to the port in few days.

W&W tracking is usually 1-2 days late. BTW when is your production date? It usually takes about 7 days to see it "booked" on W&W website after your production.

ie. Mine ended the production on Nov 2nd and it was booked at W&W on Nov 11th.

Vehicle receive at Terminal (of departure) on Nov 14th and loaded on vessel on Nov 17th.

My production date was 2017-12-08 so by your math, i should have seen something on the W&W site on the 15th of december, which i didn't.

and by your math it should be received at terminal on December 20 and loaded on the 23.

Could be due to coming Holiday season. My dates are actual from my own experience but of course it could be different each case.

Canada destined vessels depart every week (if there is enough car to be loaded), and some cars do wait additional days and that depends what day your production and what day coming for those week productions will be loaded accordingly.
As BMW do their full vehicle test and inspection before releasing from factory, they could find some wrongs in yours and that could delay few days to weeks depending on what problem they have..

At this point of yours, it is nothing that we can do much to change anything up-coming. Give it a week additional. If you still do not see any updates on W&W, contact BMWGenius and your SA for them to figure out if there is any problem causing the delay.

Cheers
