You can use Adam's Metal Polish 1 followed by Adam's Metal Polish 2 with a microfiber towel
Or you can use either of the two polishes and use steel wool #0000 with a microfiber towel A dremel can work or small da. |

I'm sure this has been covered in detail in previosu threads but if I can get a short summary in a sentance or two or a link to the best thread I would appreciate it.
I just got Xpel on the full front end as well as cquartzUK on the entire car and wheels and leather. What are recommended wash DON'T's. It's currently the start of winter here with temps being 0 celsius (32F) so its wet and slushy and my car is dirty after 5 minutes of driving. Can I still rinse it down with the wand wash with vertical line technique? Use the soap or just use the rinse? Ideal i understand is the two or three bucket method by hand with perfect cloths but in our weather that jsut isn't feasible 6 months of the year. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. |

Hi there - any suggestions for removing denim/blue-jean dye transfer from beige leather seats? My wife's Outback has this issue pretty bad on the outboard seat bottom bolster. I've tried several types of leather cleaner and nothing will take it completely off. I can make it better, but not go away entirely. I've thought about using a Magic Eraser on it but am worried about damaging the leather that way. Picture of what I'm talking about below.
Thanks!

help - wheel edge minor scratches
I didn't do the unforgiveably stupid driving along a curb and scraping a wheel, but almost as stupid. So, I removed my summer wheels from my M2 and replaced with winter wheels / snow tires today and while I was washing the summer wheels for storage, I let go of a wheel and it fell on the driveway scratching lightly the very outside edge of the rim. Other than taking it to a body shop ($$$), what can I do to try and get rid of those scratches???

What suggestions do you have for amateur detailer's that can't get particular swirls out, when using Menzerna FG, or other compounds, using Rupes with microfiber cutting pads, or even the yellow pads? Are there other methods besides wet sanding? (Not the m2 obviously)

I have some light hair line scratches on my 666m wheels, near the center of the face. I am taking them off for the season and want to prep them for a coating. Aside from the scratches, the wheels are in good condition and have been cleaned and maintained on a regular basis.
Any suggestions on what product I should use to polish and prep the wheels. Given the shape of the wheel, I will be doing the work by hand. Thanks! |

I'm looking at getting a pressure washer/foam cannon setup. Is it recommended to only use them sparingly, or is it okay to use every time you wash (~2-3 weeks)?

touch less would work if there are no other options but of course nothing better than doing it yourself.

Dr Beasley's or Opti would be the easier ones to apply.

Any recommended products for getting light scratches out of plastic? As luck would have it, i was backing into a parking spot and did not catch a low hanging branch in my back up camera. It scuffed the passenger side tail light and the quarter panel. i got the scuff out of the quarter with my Flex buffer and some light compound on a white pad. I'm too nervous to go after the ones in the tail light. Afraid of leaving a bunch of micro scratches in the soft plastic. Is buffing out the lens the same as buffing paint, just with less aggressive pad and compound combinations? Or are there special products just for buffing out lenses?
Thanks! |
