Was fortunate enough to get my hands on another M2 for about 1 hour today took it home parked it my garage, showed the wife, and drove the living shit out of it, minus any real abuse. I am solid on my decision to buy it. I am so stoked about it. DCT hits so hard when you want it to, man I love that gear box. Man I love this car.

The holidays are going to be long and suspenseful.

I drove it like mad. Need to visualize it in my garage and had to show the wife and let her sit in it.

I am just happy I did not get any tickets or get arrested.

Mine is week 42 but started production 10/5 with eta finished date 10/18, your lucky, bmw genius said call on the 18th to check the status. How did you verify your car is on that ship at charleston?

1st post, been lurking a bit until I had something to contribute. I'm a week 45er. Ordered late Sept. Production #698XXXX, which seems like a low number for 45...hmm.

I like to be low key with my speedy cars and I don't like too much attention, so I ordered:

Well, a week 45 build should start production this week, right?
So, called the Genius line & discovered my ride went into production around 0600 today! Got a VIN... now it's starting to seem real.

This is wonderful personally, as I needed some good news. I suffered a major heart attack last week - a widowmaker - completely out of the blue. Had to be revived three times before surgery... but here I am. Luckily, only spent a grand total of 52 hours in the hospital.

Really looking forward to this car now!

Anyway, your comments are exactly how I feel about a car - I want a colour, not monochrome. Seems to me that Audi, BMW & Mercedes seem to be leading the charge against colour - the local Mercedes dealer seldom ever has any car with a colour on display
