Are they worth getting?

Been seeing a lot of mixed reviews elsewhere.

Would love to hear from someone with an M2 who had HK and then changed their speakers, sub and/or amp to bavsound.

Does an upgrade like this make enough of a difference to justify the price?

I?ve always found car stereos, regardless of brand, model, etc, to be underperforming, especially compared to my audiophile set up at home (maybe that?s what spoiled it?).

They do a good enough job of playing tunes and podcasts, but I rarely do a deep dive listen on the road because the road noise alone ruins the experience for me.

Now I do have to admit, at least for my MY16, that I had hoped for a slightly less shrill stereo...

I did the upgrade with the Stage 1 speakers plus the their subwoofers.
I think the sound is smoother, less harsh. I'm glad I did it. It was all
plug and play. I'm not sure the subwoofers made much difference. I put
Dynamat in the bottom of the subwoofer enclosure plus around the midrange drivers in the door.

If you have the Hifi system then it might be worth while, but going from HK to Bavsound seems like a huge waste of money from what i've read elsewhere. Disappointing because i love that it's plug and play and doesn't require modification.

I went from the HiFi to Bavsound HUGE improvement. I have a feeling the HK system uses the same subs as the HiFi system, so going to bavsound subs might have some improvements. Will have to confirm Part # on RealOEM though.
