Port Hueneme (US west coast) shipping schedules for Week 33+ cars
My OCD is acting up - my car has been production complete for 10 days, and is still at port waiting for a boat ... so I scoured the shipping links in the how-to-track sticky and gathered this shipping schedule data. Caveat - I have no insight into whether or not any BMWs will be on these boats - they are just potential candidates.
This data was compiled for only those voyages departing Bremerhaven that will visit Port Hueneme. A few of these voyages do visit the US east coast along the way. There are other voyages to the US east coast that do not continue through the Panama Canal to Port Heuneme - those are not included here. This data was culled from WWL: www.2wglobal.com NYK: www.nykroro.com MOL: www.molroro.com <Bremerhaven date> --- <Port Hueneme date> --- <Ship> --- <Line> 26-Aug --- 20-Sep --- Capricornus Leader --- NYK RORO 31-Aug --- 30-Sep --- Fedora --- WWL 6-Sep --- 6-Oct --- Mermaid Ace --- MOL ACE 8-Sep --- 6-Oct --- Otello --- WWL 11-Sep --- 5-Oct --- Cronus Leader --- NYK RORO 20-Sep --- 21-Oct --- Marguerite Ace --- MOL ACE 21-Sep --- 17-Oct --- Equuleus Leader --- NYK RORO 23-Sep --- 21-Oct --- Don Carlos --- WWL 30-Sep --- 28-Oct --- Clover Ace --- MOL ACE 6-Oct --- 3-Nov --- Aniara --- WWL 11-Oct --- 7-Nov --- Triton Leader --- NYK RORO 19-Oct --- 16-Nov --- Don Quijote --- WWL |

From what I can tell and my experience BMW seems to use WWL mostly. If you have your VIN you can enter it into their website and it will tell you when its loaded etc. The BMW genius lagged about 36 hours behind the WWL site for me.

Have already tried entering the VIN on WWL's site - "no records found" - so I'm pretty sure I'm still sitting at port (currently at status 193). Question -- when you enter your VIN on the WWL site - do you enter the full VIN, or just the last 7? (I've tried both). |

I'm not sure how fluid all of these dates are, but they appear to be different if you do the search now. I'm getting the following:
<Bremerhaven date> --- <Port Hueneme date> --- <Ship> --- <Line> 06-Sep --- 05-Oct --- Mermaid Ace --- MOL 11-Sep --- 05-Oct --- Cronus Leader --- NYK 15-Sep --- 12-Oct --- Morning Courier --- WWL 20-Sep --- 22-Oct --- Marguerite Ace --- MOL 21-Sep --- 17-Oct --- Equuleus Leader --- NYK 26-Sep --- 22-Oct --- Don Carlos --- WWL 28-Sep --- 26-Oct --- Clover Ace --- MOL 29-Sep --- 26-Oct --- Tortugas --- WWL 06-Oct --- 03-Nov --- Aniara --- WWL 12-Oct --- 07-Nov --- Triton Leader --- NYK 19-Oct --- 16-Nov --- Don Quijote --- WWL 21-Oct --- 17-Nov --- Triton Leader --- NYK 07-Nov --- 05-Dec --- Fidelio --- WWL My car has just entered production, and has an estimated completion date of 09/13, I'd hope to be on the Don Carlos, which would arrive on the 10/22, and be at my SoCal dealer a few days later (my dealer is the second closest to Port Hueneme, only 25 miles away). Interestingly, my CA predicted that I'd be able to pick up either the week of 10/16 ~ 10/20 or 10/23 ~ 10/27. The latter looks more likely, but I could be lucky and end up on the Morning Courier, and get here for his first guess... let's wait and see.

If you're counting ships that are already at sea you guys are missing the Torino (also WWL) which left on 8/25 and is due in Port Hueneme on 9/21. I remember hearing that at least one week 33 was on it.
It should be out somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean right now as it hasn't updated it's position in a few days on it's way to the Canal. |

And there's actually a week 34 car on the Torino (deechun's) - which of course makes me all kinds of jealous! I'm hoping mine gets on the Fedora - which has been docked in Bremerhaven for a couple of days now - due to set sail shortly. We shall see .... Last edited by jjclyde; 08-31-2017 at 02:21 PM.. |

I've added back in Fedora and Otello to your updated data - cuz those 2 are still primary candidates for my week 33 car that is sitting at the port waiting for a ride. With a prod-complete date of 9/13 your chances of making a 9/15 departure out of Bremerhaven are slim. But don't count out the NYK ship on 9/21 ... mine made the trip on an NYK ship in 2015. <Bremerhaven date> --- <Port Hueneme date> --- <Ship> --- <Line> 01-Sep --- 30-Sep --- Fedora --- WWL 06-Sep --- 05-Oct --- Mermaid Ace --- MOL 08-Sep --- 06-Oct --- Otello --- WWL 11-Sep --- 05-Oct --- Cronus Leader --- NYK 15-Sep --- 12-Oct --- Morning Courier --- WWL 20-Sep --- 22-Oct --- Marguerite Ace --- MOL 21-Sep --- 17-Oct --- Equuleus Leader --- NYK 26-Sep --- 22-Oct --- Don Carlos --- WWL 28-Sep --- 26-Oct --- Clover Ace --- MOL 29-Sep --- 26-Oct --- Tortugas --- WWL 06-Oct --- 03-Nov --- Aniara --- WWL 12-Oct --- 07-Nov --- Triton Leader --- NYK 19-Oct --- 16-Nov --- Don Quijote --- WWL 21-Oct --- 17-Nov --- Canopus Leader --- NYK 07-Nov --- 05-Dec --- Fidelio --- WWL Edit: Also fixed the duplicate entry for Triton Leader (2nd entry should have been Canopus Leader). Sept 4 update:
A query on the WWL site finally shows activity on the Fedora. 23 M2's onboard Fedora (mine included ). Mine is a week 33 car. There are also week 34 and week 35 cars on the Fedora. Highest one was a week 35 MG car headed for Baltimore. |

My M2 is a MG week 35 headed to Baltimore. How do I find out if this could be me?

Click on Track & Trace. Enter your VIN in the "Cargo ID" field and push the "Track" button. Last 7 of the VIN is sufficient. If you get "no records found", then your car is not on a WWL boat (yet, or perhaps on another carrier). If it's on the Fedora (or another WWL boat), you will get some info back. Alternatively, enter "WBS%JVA12%" in the Cargo ID field, and you will get a list of all MY2018 M2's on WWL boats (not just the Fedora). Click on the "Status Date" column once or twice to sort the data in earliest-to-latest order - then look for your VIN. To save you a little time - here's all of the M2's on the Fedora - is your VIN here? Thanks for the info, unfortunately my VIN is not on the list. Perhaps the Otello.

Looks like it's not just dates that change, it's ship plans as well! I wonder if this is because of Irma...

Ah, this thread is for boats heading to California. Some of these boats, if not all of them, also stop on the East Coast, but at less ports.
It might be a good idea to start a new thread with a listing of boats headed to East Coast, or combine them here, which might be complicated...

My car isn't in your list but I confirmed it is on the Fedora. They must have loaded my car on last as it got loaded on Sep 01. WBS1J5C5XJVA12534
Is there any concern of the Fedora running into the bad Irma weather? |

Edit: Sched has changed in the past 30 minutes ... now all dates starting with Baltimore arrival have slipped 1 day. Baltimore arrival is now Sept 16. My apologies for not catching your car. The fact I missed it annoyed me, so I went and figured out why. There are 4 bills of lading on the Fedora that include M2s. One includes 1100+ cars. One includes 700+ cars. Two have a single car - yours is one of the single-car BOLs. I'm guessing maybe you did ED, and perhaps yours have arrived at Bremerhaven via a different (and unique) logistics path. . Anyway - I think the following is a more accurate accounting (and sorted!) of the M2's on the Fedora. 4 will get off in Baltimore, the rest go all the way to Port Hueneme. It adds two cars that I missed 1st time around (475 & 534). Caveat: I am not 100% confident I've reverse engineered the WWL wildcarding database interface perfectly - so don't sue me if your car is on the Fedora, but not in this list. This makes more sense now you explained it. I wasn't mad you missed my car, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't messed up. Which I do a lot. Thanks for confirming it for me.
You are also correct my car was ED. The lady at the drop off point told me my car was the only car going in that day and that there were only getting one or so cars dropped off each day. She said that they were real slow. |

So where & when did you drop-off your car? I'm curious how long it took to get to port and on a boat from the time of drop-off. |
