Has the US November M2 production date changed?

Just got done talking to my CA who informed me the US production date of 11/2015 has disappeared off his dealership computer.
Could be some kind of computer hick-up, I guess. Anyone else aware of that?

I too got word from my dealer that they got word that the car won't be produced until Jan/Feb for April deliveries at the earliest. I think this might be speculation, but there might be a bit of truth in it.

They heard us bitching about no S motor, so they're dropping the S55 in there and fast tracking comp package for F80M3 to move it further up the ladder. They also will stick a carbon roof, magical M mirrors, one piece carbon buckets with fancy stitching, 18 billion possible interior color options, and full active aero. Did I miss anything?

All seriousness I hope its not true, Im already having a hard time having to wait.

If this is a strategy to get us to: "For god's sake just go ahead and by an F80/2, already"....it just might work!

I heard the same from my dealer today. Delay in production start. He said (they own an Audi dealer too) that they were told the RS3 numbers surprised Munich. Please take this with a major grain of salt, as it came from the manager at the dealership who historically can't get anything right. My adviser said there probably isn't a delay, on a follow-up call to this. Just passing on the rollercoaster I went through today.

You know I was wondering about this last night. Seems not to have seen it yet etc so close to production.

Ready when it's ready....

That would make the m2 a top tier supercar almost.

All it takes is the S55 DCT

Possibly delay to include the bits of facelift 2 series? Or is it US delay only?

To pass the time, I think I'll just go back to the BMW website
& play with the "Build Your Own 2015 M4 Coupe" once again!

This sounds very plausible that the car has been delayed since more than 1 member is reporting it. I however very much doubt it's because of the RS3. It's not like the car came out with a brand new engine or anything.

UGH, this is driving me crazy. Although a springtime delivery would allow me to save more. Still not happy about it

Hmm...indeed very interesting.

If they're in fact further refining the M2 formula, that works in my favor as I won't be ready for delivery until next summer. Hate it for the folks who expected to get one at the first of the year, though.

Wasn't there a private viewing of the ~95% complete production car in Geneva? That was back in March or something - so either SCOTT was pulling our chain about how close that particular model was to completion OR they've potentially hit a bit of a snag and want to make sure the car is right where they want it to be.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is just rumors/rumblings. BMW knows how crazy people seem to be getting over the release of official info for the M2.

Maybe delays on the wheels or CF roof similar to what we saw with the F80 after it was released.

The timeline puts the US M2 back to spring (which is fine for me) as it originally was as the November date was for euro production. My sales manager also spoke of this "dealer" meeting and was told not to expect alot of cars.

Indeed it has disappeared from the EOP/SOP bulletin. Why? Because nothing is set in stone until it is officially announced.

And yes, I'm looking at you "we know more than the clueless dealer" gang
