M1&M2 button retrofitting
So apparently there is a kit to retrofit the m1 and m2 buttons for the OG m2, it'll only be able to toggle the drive modes so not exactly the same functionality but it's something.

What I'd like is turn off the animated 'car' graphics that pops up ever time you change modes...its so annoying. I can't make changes to the head unit with BimmerCode as I have the full screen CarPlay coded which locks out changes to the head unit (don't actually know if you can code this off with BimmerCode!) I need to check with kubax86 if it can be coded off with esys remotely.

to me the animated car graphic isn't a huge deal because I only see it once, and that is after the car warms up to goes into sport +

Very cool, I'm always an advocate for filling in the missing buttons OEMs leave behind... But I agree this is a lot of work for duplicate functionality.
It'd be super cool if we could repurpose them to our liking, like maybe it could double as buttons for the IDrive, so I can cycle through Maps/TPMS/CarPlay, or make it a controller for the M-Performance valves so we don't have to keep that bluetooth button clicker around.

Seems that way. I sent them a message inquiring on availability but never got a reply.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask. I just bought a M3 steering wheel that comes with the m1 and m2 buttons. I assume I can just leave those buttons on when I switch steering wheels? Or do I need to put the buttons from my M2 steering wheel on the new steering wheel?
