That's interesting that it includes all that other stuff.

Is that the ZPF package? The build sheet I have has the ZPF but does not have any of that other stuff listed.

So those adjustment controls control something.

How much do the electric motors and associated hardware/wiring weigh?

Interestingly, there are multiple people like me who have been on long waiting lists, and yet BMW manage to build out 150 units (which meant that there could have been additional Q1 allocations) in Feb17 - plus this is higher margin product (same price but equipment deleted) and then bang on higher profit margin M Performance parts....I also wonder if this is the new M performance exhaust or they needed to find a way of utilizing the older version and have put them on this car.

And here am I waiting for my week 12 build....and my client advisor says he has one incoming but not sure what the full spec is or whether its been spoken for

Exactly I'm in the same boat. Week 12 build and waiting since last May. There is no rhyme or reason to what BMW does which does keep it interesting. The relative exclusivity of the M2 makes it all the more appealing.

I was offered this car type yesterday as well, but they said it was a DCT.

Hmm....

If it includes everything below installed at the port, it doesn't seem like a bad deal for $6k. The exhaust and CO's are over $6k before you add everything else.

I'll be honest. If DCT is an option, I'm in.

Houston's too stop-start for a manual, and my calf muscles are big enough!

From what I can tell, this will be 6MT only. Very much a stripper

So 6000k is what you pay for the m performance package in the UK, it's a white car with stripes, carbon bits on exterior, exhaust, grills and side pods. Seats are manual and just normal. The suspension is the same as is the interior... My car is not white but specced up with the mperformance kit... It cost around 7k fully fitted and that's not including the suspension. So a limited edition with no suspension upgrade or interior changes (m performance steering wheel, Alcantara) sounds like a base model with nothing more than what I can already buy and add myself. Also, all the little bits will be adding weight... Just saying

Truly shiftless ! . That's a shame.
The DCT automatic is available for you

If you aren't aware - new BMWs with a manual come with auto rev match and the M2 shifter is so slick it literally is operable with a finger.

Same for the clutch. It's as light as a feather.

There is no workout for the left leg, right arm or any other body part.

Hahaha! Like I said, I'' more concerned about making the gearbox go clunk than anything else... serious (&a stupid) question - does the rev-matching lessen the risk of damage via user error?

Yes.

Auto rev match is perfectly for those who are concerned about nuking their transmission.

You move the shifter and the car blips the throttle for you.

Still.. you go from 5th to second... even auto rev match can't stop the laws of physics.

So just get the D.CT if your " scurred"
