513M (18" M4 wheels) for track work??

I am beginning to do some autocross and HPDE days so I have been considering going with a dedicated wheel and tire setup. I am considering buying a set of 513M wheels with tires that were taken off an new M4. I am guessing they will fit the M2 fine because of the common components and they are a bit lighter than the 19" setup so I am thinking they would be a good track option.

Any thoughts ??

Thanks

I've been in the same mindset for months. When it's time I'm likely to retire my stock wheels and switch to these. I like taller sidewall tires

Will a set of 265/35-18 R888 fit the 9 inch wide front wheels?

It is not ideal but they fit.

According to tirerack the rim width range is 9-10.5 inch

Ok thank you,
I have four of these tires in that dimension, and wonder if I could use them for the M4 wheels...
