BMW owns RR. Obviously a cost savings measure. And what's with the suicide doors must be a retro styling thing to make a statement.

Need to switch brands too much form over function.

hmmm - I have several 911's - the 2011 is frameless. All the ones from 70-92 have frames. So it depends - to say "coupes" are to be frameless is misleading. IMHO

Coupes are cooler when frameless.

So, the fabricator in UK, has the prototypes available. The price dropped a bit. They are Carbon Fiber but unfortunately PINK. Put your order in at www.DoorFrameM2.Page6.Com.

I'm gonna wrap my wrap with a pink wrap, then clear wrap that wrap so I can match the new framed doors. Should be pretty tight. Pix when this new project completed...

(Fingers crossed...) Page six?!!!

I think the more important question is why can't the rear windows be opened, ala Beetle?

NOW YOU ARE ON TO SOMETHING!

I am pretty certain they opened in my 1994 325is and 1997 M3. I was actually disappointed that they did not in this car. I used to open them for on highway air passage with sun roof open on those days that were not too warm for A/C and not too cool for open windows.

I'll ask the fabricator if they can do that too. The handles that will open the rears will be made of Titanium Uridium Alloy to maintain exact specs in all temperatures just like the Weights and Rulers used by the department of weights and measures. Must be precise. Money no object.

What ever it takes to get to page 6.

Mike
