The GENIUS just told me my car has left the manufacturer and is waiting to be sent to the port. Next step is to see what ship I will be assigned and can take up to a week or two depending on logistics.


The BMW NA automated service is up to date as well telling me

"Your vehicle was released to a carrier and is awaiting transportation to the port of exit."

Automated Phone Line states "Your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit".

That was real fast .....

CA Called me today with the same information!

Now I need to quickly decide if / what port options I might want.

Just called Genius this morning, and was told that the car's at the port waiting to board the ship... was told that wait time at this point could be up to 1-2 weeks.

GENIUS just told me car arrived at the port yesterday and is now waiting to be assigned a vessel. This wait could take up to 1-2 weeks depending on their scheduling because there are less ships going to the West coast vs East coast. Once on the ship it will take about 18 days to get to the port in SoCal.

Yup it wouldn't surprise me if we did. We have a decent amount of week 7 peeps for SoCal delivery so we all migtht just end up being together.

Minor update from BMW NA automated service.

"Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. There is no shipping information at this time."

Ok, so my status went backwards. It now states, "Your vehicle production is completed and is now waiting to be released to a carrier" - Status = 155. It has been at this status since Thursday evening. Spoke to Genius and they have no response why the status switched back.

Could the previous status be a system glitch? Does it really take this long to go from 155 to 190? I'm holding off for the last 4 days.

Considering my PCD isn't until April 12th, I hope all you guys get a boat before me. You'll have 1000 miles on your car before I ever see mine!

Nonetheless, I'll be excited to know my car in headed this way and will probably track it along with everyone else. So, let's keep each other in the loop as our we determine what boat we're on.

My car is still sitting in 155 (Production Complete) since last Thursday, 16th Feb. and both BMW Genius and my SA have no idea why it's taking so long to move to next step.

That seems odd. Perhaps something happened to the car and they took it back to fix it?

No updates still for week 7. I will call the GENIUS within the next couple days to see if there are any updates.

I went to my dealer last week and he goes '' it will be here around 1st of April''. so i went away quite happy, then i got another call yesterday, ''i have some great news according to the database your car will be here next week 1 month early.'' so i am literally over the moon

Ha April 1st like April fools. I noticed you are from Prague so that makes more sense as you are much much closer to the factory. Congrats! Looking forward to see the BSM and MPSS tires!

I'm in the same boat dude. Sort of. My car finished production 2/16, but is still at the factory with no estimate on when it will be shipped off. My CA in SoCal estimated arrival at the dealer around 4/20, which is starting to look accurate.

The BMWNA hotline told me my car was finished last Wednesday. When I called BMW Genius to get a status today and see why it was still waiting for a transporter to Bremerhaven, I was told my car was still at the factory for "finishing touches." Looks like I can add at least another couple of weeks to my estimated delivery date now. Maybe they noticed it had Continentals on it and they're replacing them with Michelins, right?
