He actually said "trim"? Your dealer hasn't sold many BMWs.

In that case I am #135.

So I wanted to share an update with you all. I was able to find a dealer with an open slot, and decided to go for it instead of waiting for the 2018 model. He gave me a production number and the car will be here by the end of April!

Here's the build:
Color: Long Beach Blue
Packages + Options: Executive Package, M Double-clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, Stainless Steel Pedals

Thanks for the info guys! It's invaluable for a newbie like me

This damn thread has me confused now... I've got a question to ask before I call my CA.

I just put a deposit in for my M2 yesterday (yay! ). I'm 5th on their list and he said I should expect delivery to the SCPC in mid September. In addition to the delivery date, the $750 price increase was included on the MSRP for my order. Furthermore, he informed me that I won't be getting a production # until around April/May.

Now, while I was making my order everything discussed was with reference to the 2017MY. My question is, before I call my CA when I get off work to confirm, will I be getting the 2018MY due to the delivery timeframe and the price increase on my build's MSRP in your guys' opinions?

Yes you will definitely be getting a 2018 if you are taking delivery in September.

You're getting a MY18 if delivery is September.

MY18 will start with July production, usually the third week of that month after they come back from collective vacation.
