Exactly - something that's better because it isn't all about lap times.

This is interesting as someone who isnt necessarily smitten with the normal M2.
Hopefully they also include the m3/4 seats. If offered with a manual, i would consider one against a used 911 as a second car. It is a unique car in that it is performance oriented with actual backseats that someone like me with a kid that is in a carseat can use. I personally would be open to a bigger turbo N55 or S55, either option should work well in this car. Looking forward to more information. Hopefully it is not too limited.

Not a fan of the seats either... but still like the overall mix of decisions they made in putting the M2 together. |

Is there really no one amongst the die hard posters who feels the urge to post his thoughts about the CS?
I miss the readings and it would a be shame to let this thread go to waste. All I want to hear is how good and cheap it's going to be. Last edited by Grey Dove; 02-22-2017 at 10:39 AM.. |

Audi RS3 ordering guide leaked:
http://fourtitude.com/news/2018-audi...ricing-leaked/ I don't think they'll price it like in the article. 53K - 55K for that 5 cylinder 400 HP engine is ridiculous. |

As for the M2 CS, my guess is $75-80k w/S55 & ceramic brakes. Totally worth it to me!

The GTS is a prime example I'm hoping the CS will be the exception otherwise I'll be getting a standard M2 |

My hope is that the lukewarm reviews of BMW's recent products will motivate them to address these shortcomings. I partially think that's what drove the Performance Edition - by outfitting the cars with better suspensions from the factory journalists will give the M2 a second look and become believers.

I for one am 1 and 2 on two local lists for this car. We will see how the final product looks. At this point my main concern is the availability of a manual. If the final product doesn't look good I will just get a used 991s. |

Same here! No manual then I'll transfer my deposit to a regular M2 and go to work on the suspension. Was cross-shopping 911's but the kids will outgrow the backseat before long.

CS has to be offered in manual for me. Otherwise regular LCI M2 for me. Also the Cayman GT4 4.0 RS is coming. Looks like Porsche is doing that BMW is doing, putting their flagship s55 motor into the M2. Or is BMW doing what Porsche is doing, detuning their flagship motors and putting in its baby bother.. https://www.google.com/amp/www.autob...?client=safari Last edited by chmura; 02-23-2017 at 09:23 AM.. |

Dealers here sell them for 25K over at least. A 911R was being sold for $775,000 in OC. Even used GT4s are selling for 120K mostly. |

I was looking at the C7 grand sport as well. I still think the M2 CS will be great, but there are other fun things/options out there. Good discounts out there on them as well 10k off MSRP. Puts the C7 build I like at 80k. |

If you want a luxery M car buy an M4.
The m2 is a succes because of the price you pay for an entry level M Car. M should be careful to offer expensive special editions. I rather have an b58 engine then an s55 engine and keep the CS price in check! I hope for an b58 engine and i don t need 400 hp! The driving experience of the m2 is already fantastic. I just hope the next m2 is lighter and not bigger in size. The size of the 1m was perfect. |

I don't really care about the power (400 HP) but I know that a lot of the people or maybe most of the people will be influenced by it. 400 HP and a better 0-60 time than an M4 at that price point will sell a bucket load of cars for Audi. |
