BMW Canada now has a base MSRP for the 2017 M2 at $63,500
being a $500 increase over the base price a week ago. Will they add a further increase for July production for a 2018?

Yes. Probably anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000 depending on the upgrades and strength of the Canadian dollar.

I would guess the hike to be $2K plus whatever the LCI updates are worth. So gmzanatta's range sounds about right. Canada prices still are relatively low compared to the US (with exchange... though I know that is a simplistic view of the market pricing, it still matters to BMW AG), so would not be surprised if they use the LCI to maximize the adjustment here.

I can't believe my luck! Called around to a bunch of GTA dealers, got only waiting lists, but low and behold found ASAP spot on status 112 car, did the deal then and there and have it incoming for end april/may!

Do you know the back story on this? I'm assuming someone bailed but every dealership would have a wait list as you saw for yourself, so kind of curious about How you leap frogged ppl on those lists. Did they give you a production week aswell?
Maybe I'm just assuming supply/demand is still tight like when I ordered my car...

no clue...although another dealer that has m2 on lot said someone had the deal canceled as
they were trying to export to China??!

Sounds about right. A lot of rich Asian kids with daddies trying to ship cars back once they're done school. Have seen this happen many times...

I got to turn it on for a min while talking to my sales guy. The sound was absolutely intoxicating. Especially in track mode. Seems that all the employees were coming out of the woodwork when they heard the car revving just to see.

I'll drive it home the moment there's a decent day. All the Mperf parts have been installed. The rest are in the trunk for me to install just awaiting final detail.
