With my current car you sit low and feel like your'e in the car as opposed to on it. Do you feel like that in a 235/M2?

I only really notice the crooked seat when using my left foot for launch control. Imagine for manual drivers it could get annoying.

Fortunately my UK order has manual seats specced as i agree that the auto seats sit too high.

Do you think they sit higher than the M235 seats, or the same? I tried to get manuals and there was no way they would do it even for extra money.

Picked up my M2 on Friday and had a hit list of issues that I was going to look for based upon reports from others. The 'crooked seat' was one of them. Since I was busy at the performance center and also driving the car home from there for the last three days I didn't come on line to get more details and see which way it is supposedly crooked. Bottom line is for me I have been unable to tell that the seat is crooked. Maybe its because I have a DCT but the pedal and wheel placement seems fine to me.

Couple other nits I have after owning. Not a big deal as the car is beyond awesome and I'll do a right up sometime in the next few days. The first other nit is that I can't see the bottom edge of then instrument cluster as it is obstructed by the top of the steering column. I have to sit up in my seat to see it. I'm sure depending on your height and preferred seat position it may not be an issue for many. For me though I can't see it. My next gripe is with the sound system. Very very mediocre. The best sound system of all my BMWs was the HK sound in my 2001 330i. Wonderful. I've owned an e90, e82, and e84 all with HK premium sound and none of them hold a candle compared to that first one. The system on the M2 is the worst of the bunch. Oh and my last gripe is the active sound. I absolutely have to get this disabled somehow. I hate it.

Did you go around a single corner?
Or look at the wheels at all? Or try the DCT? Or listen to exhaust? Or feel the overboost? Etc, etc.... I had the 235 with a M sport package...and have driven the F80 and F82 several times...with which the M2 shares many many components. The 235 is a nice entry into BMW. The M2, based on the shared components above, will likely be on another planet. Just sayin.
