I jacked the car up with a floor jack, pulled the undertray off easy enough but ran into a few issues when trying to line the lip up and get it bolted up...the lip itself is beefy and it is tough to get the 8 factory holes lined up and bolted in so you can drill the other required holes. It would have been definitely easier to throw the car on a lift and do it. It took some flexing of the lip to connected with the bumper - I don't know how to explain this but it was just tough to get everything lined up and bolted together. Then the instructions aren't super-clear about WHICH holes you need to drill out - there are holes in the lip which aren't used and its unclear which ones you need to drill and which ones are just left un-used. I made a judgement call and but took mine time and made sure it made sense. The instructions also totally lack instructions that you need to drill out two holes for the center support. The instructions are also confusing because they mention drilling out the holes with an 8mm bit and then it mentions an 11mm bit (which I didn't have - my fault - and had to run out and get). I read and re-read it and realized the instructions meant to initially drill out the holes with the 8mm bit and then REMOVE the lip and re-drill out the holes with the 11mm bit so you can fit the supplied rivets (or whatever they are). Fitment is also good...once you get it properly installed. |

Luckily I was bored on Monday and had the time to DIY (and it would be a lot easier to DIY it again a second time)...totally worth the $150 to have them do it - its well worth the money

Not today but yesterday.. went to a Cars and Coffee and hopefully convinced another enthusiast to seek finding an M2 for himself after giving him a ride in my car! Also got a drive in his GT4 which definitely showed me once again that my next car will be a Porsche.

Bugs, road tar, rocks, bird poop, etc. Thank goodness for a full PPF.
2000+ miles round trip from IL to CO. Averaging 23 MPG while getting on it and averaging 29 MPG if I just use cruise control all the way (80 MPH). http://www.fuelly.com/car/bmw/m2/2017/rodoabad/523342 |

Brought her in for first service, then brought her back to show service manager the nice dig and PPF that was lifted and looked like a flipped up eyelid on the lower rocker panel near the RH rear jack point. Yep, they missed the Jack point and it F'd up my rocker panel paint and PPF. This is almost laughable....wish I was in denial, but it's more like dis-belief. Took me 55 years of my life to buy my first new car, now I know why!
