Luckily, I would say the one I got has a 95% good fitment - you'd only really notice if you put your face directly against the hood lines. Good enough for me, and the weight savings is nice! And I can feel hot air coming out of the vent after parking so hopefully that is a good indication the vent is quite functional (kind of hard to determine how much effect it has though). |

Personally think the GTS hood looks kinda whack. Totally subjective, I know. But for some reason I never thought it belonged on an M2.
On the spectrum of OEM+ vs Boy Racer, I'd say it definitely skews slightly towards Boy Racer. But I guess it depends on what people like. Everybody is different. For my money, I'd go CS bonnet and if $ was an issue I'd go for the AutoID aluminum version. |

PS I've seen several of these GTS hoods because they're so common and most vehicles that had them had pretty obvious panel gaps.
Most regular people won't notice or care but my OCD wouldn't let me get past that. |

Hi there, I'm running the AeroLuxe aluminum GTS hood on my M2. For only $925 the fitment is 10/10, compare to the OEM fitment I'd say it's about 9/10.
My hood is entirely paint matched underneath and the bodyshop who did it have done this hood so many times they know exactly how to adjust the fitment. I've attached some pictures lmk if you want more and I can dm you them. Also not trying to defame the Alpha N hoods but there was multiple people on FB that posted about bad fitment after buying them from iND. So it's not a guarantee either even if you spend $4k for Alpha N hoods. |

But they've done at least 5 of the same aluminum hood like mine so it should be a walk in the park. |

Suvneer GTS hood will be here Monday, but it probably won't get painted until I get back from the Dragon on October 17.
Hood struts and springs are ordered, but the springs are on backorder 4-6 weeks. Should work out nearly perfect, but I may have to install them after the hood gets painted. Now I need to find a carbon fiber insert for the hood. Anyone know where I can get one? Last edited by ///MPhatic; 09-16-2022 at 06:47 PM.. |

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it? I'm having a hard time even finding them, unless it's identical to the M3/M4 GTS hood insert. Also, what makes you want to swap? Carbon fiber all the things, right? |

IDK, I’ve never liked the look of CF, matte/frozen paint, black wheels, or other trends on any of my cars. I like glossy metallic paints and shiny metal. The only CF I have is the open pore interior (which I like way more than gloss), the tips on my Akrapovic exhaust (guess I’ll tolerate those. ), and the hood vent. |

I only want the CF insert because I'm getting a CF lip. My kidney's are gloss black (CF looks weird there IMO). Take a few pix and send me a PM. I'll do the same once mine shows up. |

So just to add a bit of information about the vent to add.
The Suvneer hood comes with an aftermarket plastic vent that's identical to the OEM M4 GTS hood vent. They used to come with the same plastic vent with a carbon fiber overlay, but weren't happy with the quality so they stopped supplying it with the hood and went with just basic plastic. The OEM hood vent is also plastic, P/N 41-61-8-068-158 and they run about $70. BMW does not make a carbon fiber version of this vent. There is one website I've found that puts a real carbon fiber overlay on a genuine CF GTS hood vent for $380 shipped: http://www.nvdautosport.com/carbon/f...nt-grille.html Last edited by ///MPhatic; 09-18-2022 at 07:51 AM.. |

OK, finally found a company that makes a full carbon vent. They make it in matte and gloss. Looks pretty fantastic.

What color are you looking for the hood ? I might sell my GTS CF hood painted in sunset orange with carbon exposed underneath. Fitment is 8.5/10 and condition is 10/10. pm me if interested. Cost me 8000$ CAD.

Not sure who you're directing this to, but I'm in the US and have purchased a Suvneer hood. It was painted just yesterday! Should have it on Friday. Soooo stoked!

$6-700 to paint (I haven't gotten the bill yet). Same with the PPF, it's $6-700, haven't had it done yet, that's just an estimate. I also got a bit of a deal on the hood because I'm taking some professional pictures for Suvneer.
Hood:$1250 (retail) Springs/Struts: $165 (getbmwparts) Paint: $700 (local) PPF: $700 (local) Total: $2,815 |
