The price is suspiciously low for all of the CS parts, I suspect it may be since they're preorders. Anybody able to get a firm date?

I emailed them and was told they expect the CS spoiler to arrive early May from Germany. So around mid-May for customer deliveries.

Good luck buying the genuine CS spoiler from a dealer, part number - 51628085400

BMW Munich will not supply this part unless they have proof it's for a genuine CS.

All the press car chassis numbers will not be accepted.

Interesting. I've ordered one and my dealer hasnt said anything like that. However, i also do not have the spoiler yet either lol. Going on about 2 months since i've ordered. I was recently told they finally have been invoiced so things should be moving along. We shall see................

I ordered one on 4/28 from a US dealer online. I was told the same thing about a week ago. They expect to have them shipped out to customers by the end of June.

It will be interesting to see if BMW supply the usa customers with them without a valid chassis number.

When I first ordered the spoiler (here in the uk) the dealer said a chassis number was not required, then a few weeks later the dealer said Munich had asked for a CS chassis number.

ps: the cost in the uk was £590.00 for the spoiler

Kind of dumb if BMW gets all uppity with their cs parts. I mean i can just get a good knockoff anyways.

I could understand it if the CS was only going to be 500 units, but there will be at least 2200 and possibly a lot more.

Yeah the CS parts are definitely not vin locked. It is good practise to have a VIN when ordering parts from BMW so they can confirm fitment and compability on ETK.

Some dealers are iffy about selling items that don't match the vin or with no vin, its just what they are told to do to avoid hassle of returns or refunds.

I just received the same response from another BMW dealer, so they are VIN locked to the CS in the UK

that really sucks. My cs spoiler is arriving in two days so i think it really depends on the dealer. I ordered from BMW Matthes in Germany, if that is of any use.

thanks for the info, my only option now is to buy abroad.

Even a valid CS chassis number is not enough, they want proof of ownership.

ps: it was a lower price from the latest dealer = £516

that is really unfortunate. I dont understand why they would VIN lock it. I payed 520 Euros so approximatly £475 .

Since betalink is permanent the only other high strenth industrial adhesive that I know about and have used is E6000.

https://www.amazon.com/E6000-237032-.../dp/B004BPHQWU

Technically not as strong as Betalink so I'm thinking of using this instead of Betalink (where the instructions say to apply Betalink) and probabaly some on the ends as well plus taping it down and letting it dry for like 2 days and using the adhesive promoter. This should be only semi-permanent then...
It may be easier to replace the whole panel...

From USA here, expected to be delivered by end of July. I was told they are tied up in customs and there is a long delay due to covid. Fingers crossed!
