I love this thread... I miss reading builds of e36/46 race cars, but you sir took it up a notch I'm most curious to see the cage design!

WE are also developing F8x Solid aluminum race engine and transmission mounts for the car, hoping to have these within the next 4 weeks.

285/30/18 is what this car NEEDS to get the power to the ground. I can and do run 285/30/18 square on 18x 10 wheels on my 1M. EASILY. I've run 315/30/18 on a 10.5" rear wheel and 335 probably would fit but would need 11 " wheel. I'll be seriously disappointed if the M2 can't fit a similar setup with few or little mods. |

305-315 square on this car would be so fun if it were doable. I'm at the maximum diameter in the front with the stock liners. That's 26.3" |

I don't believe so and not going to push it. I'm not planning on it fitting stock and getting Ground Control camber plates to adjust camber.

Pretty sure this will fit on a stock car no problem. Apex has a great online fitment form you can fill out and they’ll get back to you quickly.

I know what you mean: tuning or track ? Inevitably there is overlap.
For consistency reasons I try to move 'personal build' threads involving tuning in the tuning section and track experiences in the track section. More appropriate than the General section, where lots of threads are posted that actually belong in dedicated sections (those get 'undersnowed' in the General section and unfortunately escape searches in dedicated sections). And if people keep posting for example tire and suspension questions in the General section, others will refrain from using for example the tire and suspension sections and ask the same questions again "because they could not find an answer in the archives". Needless to say that it takes time to screen all threads, change unclear thread titles (titles which reveal nothing about the thread), merge, etc. From time to time a thread move wave.

Guys- We have been swamped over here-
I can't leave everyone hanging. I plan to reorganize and restructure this post when we are done- as we are taking pics of everything and compiling information but do not have the time to post at the moment. here is a little teaser to keep you held over, and I hope it sheds some light as to just what lengths we are going here with this beast! |
