It's a Custom Fit Fleeced Satin Car Cover from Covercraft - indoor use only. It has a little stretch, so it stays put and nothing like bugs ever get under it. I had one on my previous car for 7 years, and it never left a mark on the car - maintenance was washing and drying the cover in the home laundry in the spring and then storing it in the bag until the following winter. At $269, it's a screaming deal!

It’s extremely rare I drink in the car, so I don’t need cup holders, and don’t want encourage others. I find the inserts better for dropping little stuff there. One of the cavities on the right seem to be made for holding the key, even though mines in my pocket. I just think it looks cleaner.

What did you think? Significant difference or not? I found the biggest benefits are night driving on twisty roads, like my video I posted, and on the freeway (280 isn't street lit near me).

I just did the front. No one uses my back seat. Deff makes the driver and passenger feel more special.

I definitely notice the lights moving around more. Don't really notice a huge difference in visibility when just driving a bit of street and then mostly highway though. I can imagine much better on back roads though!

Latest Mods
First of all, thanks to all the posters, especially those who provide step-by-step DIY tutorials. Also thanks to IND, Sam at Mode Carbon, and Donald at Dallas Custom Steering Wheel.
Did my last interior mod. Installed a recovered M Steering wheel with Black alcantara and M stitching. Rather than ordering an M performance wheel, I opted to have a wheel recovered. Once you get used to the heated steering wheel, you dont want to lose it. I bought a heated wheel from a forum user off of an M240i. They were able to keep my heating element functioning with the rewrap, which is hit or miss. Had it sent to Dallas Custom Steering wheel who allows you to choose color and stitching etc. I chose a basic copy of the M wheel, but maybe I should have gotten black leather instead of blue at 12 O'clock. Install took about 90 mins or so. I had already installed the red start/stop button which was an easy install thanks to the vids posted. I had previously installed the Mode Carbon front splitter. I was debating about which diffuser to get, and ended up with the RKP carbon fiber one. I always nickel and dime the wrong things, but this time it ended up being a good choice. I was able to get it back on Black Friday with free shipping so it was a good deal for me. This install was beyond hard and stressful. I ended up breaking a couple of clips on the oem one. Sometimes its nice to do these mods with someone else, but alas I was alone. The RKP one went in lickety split. Thanks again to all that share the work they do. This has been my favoritest thread ever. |
