Snow and summer rubber

I took redelivery at pdc last Tuesday (ed in nov). I can confirm driving through a winter storm is absolute hell on summer rubber and extremely dangerous. Stopped after touching cloth a few times. The ride back to Austin is normally 16 hours vs the 32 it took me. The struggle is real, do not drive with summer rubber in winter conditions. Before I get trolled, I had little choice in that delivery date and had to get back to Austin by Thursday morning, otherwise would have stayed in SC till Friday.

Yeah not good driving with summers in snow. It’s like wearing ice skates.

Glad you made it back! I got caught in the New Years Eve ice storm driving back to Asheville from an autocross at the BMW Performance Center. I can attest!
Since we don't get a lot of snow here, I ended up replacing the stock summer Contis with Michelin PSS AS/3+ "No Season" tires. Figured that will be good enough to keep on the car all the time for street driving (Have another set of track wheels/tires).
