My Week 43 should be production this week and I hope to take delivery just before Thanksgiving. Not through BMW of Austin, even though I'm probably still very, very far down on their waitlist! The weather should be nice so a local meet up (or at Cars and Coffee) would be fun.

+1 It's a terrible, boring, drab colour that makes your car look like a uh.. a grey thing that looks bad, and makes you feel bad. No one should buy it. Stick to better colours like LBB, white or black. Remember, Mineral grey? No way! MG? Not even for free! Now be sure not to buy mineral grey. You don't want to hate your car and feel bad do you?

My 2017 M2 is coming in 4 weeks with exactly the same color sheme.... I first ordered a black M2 with DCT and then changed into a mineral grey 6 MT (with black kidney and sides). Black and MG are both awesome, but MG feels more low profile and understated to me and I like that

The ride of the M2 is better than the 135is with PS and MPSS, and it is no contest in the handling department. Even if I were to suspend the transmission from the discussion, the overall nod would still go to the M2, but not by much.

On the 6MT, some reviews describe a rubbery feel to it (I can attest to that feel in the M3/M4). Is the M2 version better, i.e. less rubbery?

However, I've also been told by folks who have tested both that the 6MT in the F8X has the rubbery feel to it, as the E8X does not. I don't have any experience with an E8X 6MT, so I can't comment from first-hand experience. The MPE is a lot of fun. I also didn't pay for it. If it were my money and the M2 was a daily driver, I would pass. It's a bit loud to be neighbor/fellow motorist/pedestrian friendly, and it sets up a buzz/resonance in the rear bumper/diffusor at certain mid-range RPMs. It's also a bit droney with the engine under load at some RPMs. But did I mention that it's a lot of fun?

I just changed my order a few days ago to the exact same thing ...Mineral Grey and the black kidney and side grills are a MUST if you get MG IMO. I'm first on the list with a North NJ dealer and now just waiting for them to get an allocation. When you get a chance could you post more pics, please so as to see the grills in better detail. Thanks

You will not be disappointed in the combination. I thought about LBB, but new I'd tire of it. When I've seen the MG on a 2-series, I thought it was bland. But there's something about it on the M2. |

Yeah the waiting list at the Austin dealer is still out of control, like up to 50 or some crazy high number. |

I may be one of the few people that was able to actually test drive a manual 6 speed M2 (it was MG). But IMHO LBB rules:

Also, I now want a full paint correction done after seeing those pictures! I had xPEL done to my car on the front clip and a few other areas, but I would love the easy maintenence of cquartz finest. |
