Wasn't my idea but removed the airbag stickers off the sun visors.. .99 cents for the bottle of acetone looks great.

Get in there with a flash light, it takes 3 mins to install and its 2 and a half minutes finding the OEM and half a minute swapping them.

You can do it without removing the cover.

When you get under there look towards where the clutch meets the cars floor.. This white thing is what you are looking for.

I removed the left side of the cover to make things a tad bit easier.. still was kinda of a pain to get back in there.

The OEM stop in mine was black not white. Regardless, I am really enjoying the BMS bump stop. That clutch throw was excessively long.

Well I have small hands which also helps get in there without removing, but without the cover its a straight shot.

Maybe the color difference on the OEM one is because of year difference or market? Mine is a US based 2017.

I agree, its a really small and inexpensive mod but the difference it makes is pretty significant.

i thought the "m perf" knob + boot from the M PERF catalog was the exact same part we get with our cars. part #25-11-7-854-545

Do you mean the IND m perf. c/f knob they sell for $295.00??

I posted this easy DIY under the "Cosmetic Modification" section, but it fits well here too.....

The large yellow airbag warning stickers on the sun visors were an eyesore. With the visors in the up position they were beacons with the black interior and headliner.

In order not to spill the cleaner all over the interior of the car or stink up the interior with the chemical smell I removed the visors from the car. Very easy. A small cover over a single 25 torx head screw and a simple electric plug and the visors come off.

I removing the ones from my 2012 535I using Goof Off and they came off easily. Not so with the M2. I stated out with Goof Off then moved on to Rubbing Alcohol. Nothing. So I moved on to Acetone. I used it sparingly and it worked well. It dissolved the sticker and took it took several steps of applying and wiping to clean it off. Then I applied several applications Lexol Vinylex Protectant. There is a slight shadow where the sticker was but it is so much nicer than the warning labels.

Yes, they do ship to the US.

I ordered these last week.

Oh, get them now, while the value of the UK Pound is down compared to the US dollar.

I emailed the owner, he said if some people want to do a group buy we can get a discount. I'll see what kind of tiers and discounts he's talking.

I think it would be 190 GBP shipped to the US which is still 250 bucks for two cheap mirror caps. Kind of a lot for knock off parts made in Asia.

He told me they make them and they're real carbon fiber. Damn, that would suck if I paid all that money for the Chinese ones that are $60.

He told me 'designed in UK' manufactured in Asia. Not sure why they cost 4X of what the Ebay chinese ones. Let me know how it turns out when you receive them.

DIY clutch stop install
Just ordered one in preparation of getting my car in a few weeks. I wish I would have seen the one with the metal shims as I would have preferred it over the BMS one. I'm sure it will be fine though.
