What is your top speed in the M2?
Mine has been 268 kmh and 264 kmh on the GPS. I tried five top speed runs and each time I am stuck at 268 kmh.
The car doesn't seem to go faster. I do not have the package that moves the limiter to 280 kmh. MR |

Mine got the M Driver's Package (7ME).
Will test someday in the future on a dry, long, clear stretch of Autobahn how deep the rabbit hole goes. Pushed it already above 270 km/h (digital speedometer - not the real speed) but had to brake.

120 MPH.
268 KPH is 166 MPH. I will never see anything close to that. That is so fast; 243 feet per second.

Not exactly slippery shape, big fenders, intakes...a turbo that is not happy to be blowing at those RPMs...
Sounds about right. Whereas something like an E46 M pulls a few MPH faster despite less power. I wonder what a 235 does on the top end, or a 240...

Mine is on the production line as we speak so I'm thinking my top speed thus far is likely measured in meters per minute....

People doing this shit on public roads makes me think vehicle automation is a good thing. And using your cell phone at those speeds is absurdly reckless. Understand that if you did that shit in the US and someone died, you would be convicted of 2nd degree depraved heart murder, assuming you lived.

Can't comment on the cell phone, but you can see from the icon in the picture that he's on an unrestricted section of the autobahn.

The German public are generally very good drivers, they are used to driving at high speeds. Passing on the right is strictly prohibited, the law is respected which does make driving fast much safer. When driving fast in the left lane, cars often turn on their left turn signal which is warning slower traffic to move over. The U.S. way of passing in every lane at high speed is so stupid, I'm not sure why we're not all dead from traffic accidents. Passing in every lane is not safe for high speed driving.
