513m on my M2

Couldn't really find any 18" track oriented wheels that I really liked. Finally tracked down a set of 513m's for my M2 yesterday, took a while as the popularity on them seem to be increasing. Currently running the oem F8x Michelins on there right now, but will have the new Hankook RS4's on there tomorrow.

Looks great. I've been looking for these for a while but haven't found the right ones yet.

What size are you going with on the RS4s?

If I were ever to buy another set of wheels for my car these would be the ones. If I had the money I would buy them in a second.

Wow looks great ! I would love to duplicate it on my m2. Why 265/275 ? Is the front not too big ?

Its actually not that bad at all. It shows recommended tire size from 9" - 10.5" I wanted to keep the rolling diameter as close to stock as possible. going with a narrower tire would have required 40 series tire instead of the 35.

I want this exact set up but can't afford (justify) it at the moment. Someday!

Very nice ... but so it is NOT a square set-up I presume ?
Why didn't you want a square option ?

I am looking for a square set-up so that I can swap & turn the wheels to compensate the irregular tire wear.

What about the 40 height ? Any big difference in driving/handling ? Especially on track ?

From which BMW car do these rims come ?

A lot of questions ;-)

In case of square setup I wonder whether it is better to opt for 4x front wheels, or 4x rear wheels...

Correct this is not a square set up, its the factory 18" wheels that come off the F8x M3/M4 (513m is the model) Ideally I wanted a square set up (for the track) however you can only buy these wheels staggered off the used market. You can order a new set but its expensive. Also the rears will not fit the front without spacers (I tested fitted them and it hits the strut) the 40 series tire felt fine but the steering feel was a bit heavier.

Initially I wanted a square option in 18'', but I did not easily find 18'' wheels fitting the car, so I went for the 513

The 18/40 makes the car feeling very different from 19/35, much less response from track, personally I could not handle the car very well, made one 360 out of the sudden. Might be the tyres as well. On that day, I changed back to original wheels with Michelin PSS and made instantly 2 seconds faster laps.

I will try to find semi slicks in 35 for the 513 wheels and try again.

18's? What's the wheel width front and rear? Also, how many revolutions per mile front and rear and how does this compare to OEM 19's.
