Maybe jumping platforms from F82 to F87

Hey group,
So a year ago I moved from my custom ordered M235i (many might know me from the forum, I was the first to do a hitch on that car) to a low mile second hand M4 that i modded out. Well I was in a pretty big accident and the ins has totaled the car out so I am at square one again. I started looking at the M2. I know the '17 production runs ended in I think June so they should be in the '18's now. I wonder how hard it will be to find a allocation and what are the exact changes from '17 to '18. I am carless right now so if I do order one I am sure the wait will be long.

Not many options on their site so build would be......
MG
DCT
Exc pkg

I am open to comments.....

if you are flexible somewhat on color, there are quite a few used for sale in the classified.

ian,
I have done that and see the major items are the adaptive LED's and new Drive interface. Usually you insiders know a few little touches. As for allocations...I am still searching but will not pay over MSRP

Non-adaptive LED standard with traditional haloes
Adaptive LED with hexagonal haloes optional add-on
Taillights are LED now
Revised dashboard geometry, looks a little better but not major at all
Little less blue stitching throughout
Gauges are vastly improved in readability being blacked out with white backlight; no orange backlight though
Moonroof option

That's it.

Revised instrument cluster now lets you see oil temp by toggling the clusters display.
iDrive 6 with 8.8" Touchscreen.

Sadly, the long wait to get this car is about the same.

There's a 2018 6mt car for sale at BMW of Cape Cod. I'd have gone and bought it if I didn't already have an allocation secured.

wrap. the idea stemmed from my wish to protect the paint. but PPF is too expensive so I ended up picking color wrap. I know wrap is thinner than PPF but at least it will prevent from bird poop acid burns on clear coat, which happened almost all the cars I owned.

WIP. I posted a picture in LBB color thread. I'll post more pictures once done.

So far, it looks fantastic!

haha, I initially wanted to order an Individual M3 in Atlantis blue but ended up getting LBB M2 for various reasons. My favorite color is that light teal blue that you see in the Carribean waters and literally Atlantis blue captures it the best.

and while searching for a color to wrap, I randomly found out that 3M 1080 actually offers "Atlantis Blue".

Maybe consider getting a ceramic coating, not going to prevent large rock chips like PPF, but it does help with the smaller ones.

obviously the best protection available currently is PPF. But materials alone costs $1300 to cover an M2.

Put it this way. Wrap is better than nothing. I will be applying ceramic coat on top of the wrap.

Sorry OP i'll shut up now.

No worries termigni, I am going to be learning a new car so I will be absorbing a lot of info going forward. These are very different than my M4
