It's all part of the fun right? I've gotten start of week, end of week, and middle of the week - but when included they have always lined up "week ___" correctly - and nothing has varied widely yet.

"Your 2021 BMW M2 Competition Coupe is estimated to begin production the week of May 17, 2021 (week 20). Please note, all dates are estimates and subject to change."

I have never pre-ordered a BMW before so please bear with me if I sound like an idiot; reading this thread it sounds to me like this is the end of F87 M2C and we have to wait for the G87 platform (probably 2023?) ... is that correct? I am so confused because my dealer just told me if I order now I get mine after November 2021?

Can we or can we not order F87 M2C anymore?

F87 allocations are drying out as production ends in June. Even if the vehicle is built by last week of june it will most likely here by early or mid august the latest. And yeah G87 will land here as MY23 vehicles as start of production is Dec 2022.

A member just posted in these forums that his CA has an allocation available. That’s most likely the last one for F87 platform.

Yeah I actually found a dealer that had one in his lot but they told me if I buy from CA my trade in value won't count against the M2 price so I'd be paying like $2.5k more in taxes. Not willing to swallow that pill.

I just got a reply from BMWNA telling me that they have no plan for 2022 M2 yet; so I am guessing the dealers encouraging me to place order for 2022 M2 just want to lock in my order in case BMW decides to keep producing F87?

Not sure how you would expect BMW to produce F87 for MY22 when there is plenty of info that production for this platform is ending next month.

I would not trust updates from a CA when every other info says otherwise.

With a used car market blowing up now I am sure you can sell your trade-in for more than the dealer offers you, unless you don't want to deal w/ the headaches of placing ads and wait for a right buyer.

you know this is exactly going through my head right now; I am thinking heck I can easily sell this thing in private party and probably getting a better deal than trading it in and saving on tax, but then again I hate people! Just kidding but yeah, selling it is a headache.

did you give carvana, vroom and shift a chance to price your car out? see if they come up on top of your dealer's trade:in offer.

I placed a M2c order with a MidWest dealer early this month but will not be moving forward with the purchase. Long story short, i spent sometime with a similar vehicle and feel its too small for our liking & needs. I might end up with a G80 sometime later this year.

My production is scheduled for CW25 and the build is still customizable.

My CA and dealer were great people to deal with. Send me a PM if you are willing to take over my order and i can provide you my CA information. He told me that it will be sold for MRSP but you can always try.

There's no such thing as MY22 M2. Production is finished after June. Allocations for the cars being made in June I assume already went out to dealers so if you want one better lock down an allocation now, buy off the lot, or buy used. I doubt more allocations are going out. If it want a G87 m2 probably won't get one until early 2023 because they start making them December 2022.

There are less than 10 allocations left in the US for the M2C, I just found one this morning and ordered it to my spec. I am excited and relieved...

So happy to have found this forum - lots of great information which gave me hope for one last push to find an allocation - was able to locate one after contacting 20+ west coast dealers.

Long story short - found one on 5/27 that was queued up but still modifiable as far as options go. Currently sitting at 'Scheduled for Production', but no word yet on when that might be.

He gave me this list of places that still have allocations as of last week.

These places have the last remaining ones...
