cheap winter wheels solution

Wondering if anyone has some options for affordable oem wheels I can swap on my M2 for winter storage. I would like to put the summer tires inside for the winter and would prefer a beater set i can leave the car sit on and be mobile enough to drive a mile or two if ness rather than putting up on jackstands for the season. Thanks in advance for any help.

Personally, I would just overinflate the summer tires, park it, and forget it. Why would you need to drive a mile or two, assuming you have another vehicle for the winter? I inflated the tires to 40 lbs. in my M235i when I used to store it and didn't touch it until spring. Unless you're going to take it out for a drive long enough to heat the oil up to temp (20 minutes), it's best to not even start it.

As far as those wheels, if the mismatched rim doesn't bother you, they look okay if your plan is to occasionally drive the car.

You should be able to find other deals in the M2/M3/M4 forums. I found a 641M winter tire/wheel package from an M3 owner for $1300. The wheels were the same 19x8.5 and 19x9 sizes made for the M2 winter package, but the M3 package came with 255/35-19 tires instead of the 235 tires in the M2 package. I'm on my 3rd winter with them and no rubbing issues.

It's not about driving it. Its more about getting the summer tires into heated storage while the car is stored in freezing temps I have seen a few sets similar to yours but I was hoping to find something on the cheap because i just need it to sit on them. But it appears as though most won't clear the brakes I'm most likely hoping to find a set of oem M2 wheels with crap tires. I have zero interest in driving it in the winter.

For a little more money, you could pick up a Quick Jack! You could lift the car on the quick jack and remove the wheels for heated storage (I'd put a jack stand on each side of the the quick jack for additional security that the hydraulics don't leak down). Without wheels, the car will be secure as it can be moved or driven away and you'll have a quick jack for doing maintenance in the summer time!

This is probably not a bad idea for most in my situation however my needs are a little different than just storage per say. I hate to let on to how much of a first world problem this is and it will probably come off as some sort of internet flex but I have a two post and a four post already a quick jack is just not needed. My problem is car placement. Right now the M2 is where I'd like another car to be sitting and then I can move another car where that one is now. In order to do that I would like to have the summer tires remain in the warmer garage where the car currently is. with a cheap set of disposable-ish wheels I could move the M2 to my other garage which isn't heated and it would be a tight squeeze once in place to get it up on jack stands or even switcth the wheels in place which is why I'd like to be able to drive it a bit with the junk wheels on it.

Just find a used set off a 2/3/4 series on facebook marketplace or where-ever local to you.
If you don’t care about looks and won’t be driving it anywhere, just look for a used/take-off set.
‘BMW Rims’ into the search and away you go. Just make sure they’ll clear the calipers.

Nothing wrong with having first world problems!

Need first world problem advice!
I currently have a 3.5 (fairly deep) garage, wife and kids have 1/2, my cars and yard equipment have the other 1/2.
Should I build a detached garage or purchase 2 lifts? The lifts would be cheaper, but man would it be nice to have my OWN 2 car garage that could be locked and not have a zero-turn mower or kids sledding toys in the same space.

If you can swing it more garage is always better IMHO
