My dealer (southern PA) just called to inform me that they got an allocation. I am first on the list. They will be sending me the order number in the next day or so.

Is the number more than 420 cars now?

420 cars seems like a lot but it really is not. 90 day supply, 420 cars, 360 bmw dealers... Each dealer gets 1 car??

More likely several dealers get more than one, several dealers get none. So long as we are at 420, that is...

Remember though that most dealers have deposits on everything they're getting for MY2017 so it's not as if M2s will suddenly be sitting on lots.

Unclaimed cars will still sell for well over sticker :/

Now seriously guys, if there is an update that says there will be a batch of cars released for three months allocation (and trust me, I don't doubt that BMW might do something like that), then it is very easy to post. Ask your dealer for a copy.

Dealers do have to look for these things and yes, it is quite possible plenty have missed it. And then again, it is quite possible that there never was such an update.

My worst fear? I get a July production car! Don't want that - in fact, September sounds good.

Still want that official update that dealers received about the 3mo of allocations? Prob was just a rumour. Seriously guys.

Look at all of these options? Are they really all available?

Most of that stuff should be standard. Car play is for cars with SOP of August or later. Earlier can be retrofitted per my understanding.

The dealers can pull up all of the allocations on their PCs and see everything that is available.

That should mean that your car should be produced in Oct earliest and Nov prob latest, with delivery prob from mid Nov to mid Dec.

yeah, thats a lot to me, but I'm over here reading only 500 some odd in the states so far.

I followed up with the dealership I originally had my deposit down for first on the list and they still did not get one. Glad I jumped ship and got what I did
