Coming from an 08 E93 M3.

Looking forward to something with a warranty, getting back to stick, and a bit smaller in size. And to a solid roof with no creaks.

I hope the steering is ok. I think it's pretty good in the E9x version M3.

I recently sold my 2014 Mk7 Golf R (Lapiz Blue) in preparation for the M-DCT M2 (LBB) that I have on order. I have just bought a 2008 Mk5 R32 (Deep Blue Pearlescent) as a runabout until the M arrives sometime next year. Can you guess what my favourite car colour is?

The M2 will be my 3rd M car. I previously had a 1987 E30 M3 followed by a 1995 E36 M3. I regret not getting an E46 M3 but M cars since then have left me cold - they have just got bigger and more GT-like, and don't start me off about the Chris Bangle styling.

The M2 is the first M car I have wanted to buy since the E46. I test drove the dealer's 6MT M2 the other day - it was parked next to an M4 coupe, which looked huge in comparison. They had fitted the M2 with the M Performance exhaust, which is damned loud and having heard the same car run without it, totally unnecessary. IMHO of course.

2008 135i with performance pack and exhaust. Had it since new, the 1M was too soon and at the time I didn't think it was worth swapping for (how wrong that turned out to be!) so the M2 is the perfect replacement for me.

It's *such* a tough decision to sell a 135 or 335 for the M version if you already have the lower model.

Glad you are able to pick up a 1M 2.0

Agreed.

I certainly won't be changing the exhaust when I get my car later this year either as I'm more than happy with it the way it is.Personally I think the MPE is a waste of money as there are no power gains and essentially it's only a back box replacement.

Well done it's just the looong wait ahead

Currently driving a Cherokee Trailhawk. I'll miss: the fun doesn't end when the pavement does. Also, I don't worry about curbs, dips or speed bumps.

I look forward to driving a poised driver's car again. I look forward to the acceleration and handling, and pushing my driving skills. Definitely looking forward to autocross and track days.

Currently got a 14 Nissan 370Z. It's not bad, but it doesn't excite me. Hence the upgrade.

I'm the opposite, I have 13 Sport 6mt Z with a couple of mods (since 8/2012) and I know I'll miss it when I change to the M2.

Drove a M235i a few months back and while it was an excellent car, a little to isolating and soft for my taste. I know the M2 will give me the feedback and firmness that I appreciate in the Z, plus the benefits of additional power and two more seats. Oh yeah, not to mention, I can get it with a 6mt also!

Hi guys, new to the forum. Seems a good place for information and looking forward to being an active member.

I currently drive a Toyota GT86 MT, love the car as it's handling is sublime but it always wanted for a bit more power. I'm hoping the M2 (delivery next year LBB, DCT, every extra possible except internet and online entertainment) will provide the handling fun with the extra poke I'm after.

My car previous was a stage 2+ 2007 Audi S3 pushing out 355 bhp and 500 Nm torque - loved the pace but it handled like a tank!

Currently a 2011 black 328xi 6mt and my wife's 2012 Z4, 6mt, .28i
Have a LBB,6mt "on order" with a $1000 deposit. Was told I might actually get one in December or January just in time for winter. First time I saw this car I had to have one. Just love the way it looks and by the sound of what ppl are saying will love to drive it. First time on this forum, so still getting familiar with the lingo. Cheers.

Currently driving M4 and excited to see whether the M2 is the love child of the M4 and my prior 1M. If so, it will be something truly special in my opinion.

Was driving my '07 Z4MC (with 34K miles on the clock) which I have now sold to fund the M2.

Currently driving my '07 Ford Fusion V6 winter beater until the M2 gets here in June.

Looking forward to all of it. All. Of. It.

G37 automatic because it was a bargain and my 335 6MT was a lemon. Lease won't be up for at least another 18 months though by which time I hope I've persuaded the wife of a smaller more expensive car with a transmission she doesn't want to learn to drive. Hopefully there will be a competition pack by then too

Driving 1M and 330i ZHP. Most excited that BMW got the exhaust tone and volume right on the M2. I had lost hope with F80 exhaust and reliance on digital enhancement. The M2 sounds great. Also like that they went with fixed firm suspension instead of active stuff.
