Porsche 993 that I bought instead of an E46 M3 that I also loved at the time, turned out to be a far better investment too. Missed out on the 1M as I was moving house and had to prioritise there. Got my M2 last week so the 993 can finally go into pampered retirement. BTW that is the true driver's car by a million miles as the only electronic aid is ABS, the rest is up to you! Plus all the feedback from manual everything.

M235i. Can't wait to feel the superiority of the lsd, wider track and much improved steering and suspension. I don't care much about the power.

evo x and 997t. Not getting rid of anything. I had an e46 m3 back in the day and hope the m2 drives like that or better. I only drive manuals and hope they did the gearbox justice.
NOT looking forward to any of the modern fake bits. Fake engine sounds, fake side gills. |

Currently GT86 MT.
Haven't ordered an M2 yet but will be my next car. The 86 is a good handling car but not great IMO out of the box, never really fell in love with it if you know what I mean. Come from hot hatches so can't wait for more power and a much more all round package that I'm sure the M2 will be.

F30 335i. Looking forward to:
Basically everything that the M guys focused on. I won't miss the "more" luxo that is the m3/4. I find my 335i standard of luxury good enough. Can it be better? Of course. In my mind there is no such thing as "Ultimate" since you can always do better. But it will cost more...

E46 M3. Moderately modified and I will never get rid of it.
I imagine the M2 to run rings around it.

Well I recently sold this in order to fund my M2;
But since I'm looking at next winter/spring before I get my hands on one, I only have my daily driver to get me by. I'm most excited about being able to go around corners in a spirited manner, and it will be my first BMW. Justin |

It's more 1M2.0 since the E46 is naturally aspirated and a gutless wonder below 5k rpm.... but yes an E46 M3 and 1M both take up the same amount of space in my garage. The torque from the turbo motor makes these cars far better as a daily driver ... |

Sold my n54 135i in preparation for the M2. I'll miss the n54 twins and the tuning potential of them. Currently drive a mk5 GTI. Looking forward to finally getting back in a bimmer and RWD. Honestly FWD is killing me. On a side note, what are your thoughts on the crosstrek? I was thinking of picking one up for work/DD duties but am worried about it being too underpowered. Haven't had a chance to test drive one but wouldn't mind hearing your take. |

It does come with paddles and I've found that if I keep the RPMs high, I can merge and pass on the freeway just fine. Otherwise, it's extremely anemic and will not satisfy the need for speed, but it also makes you appreciate any other faster car that you have. It was superb in the winter with snow tires, it was like driving a tank. So despite being a dog at 148HP, as long as I remember what it's for, I'm not too bothered by it. Justin |

Currently driving a Renaultsport RS 250, got a Ford Focus RS 2016 on order arriving in July then the M2 in September. Can't wait for them both to land - best two impulsive decisions I have made EVER!!!

I gave back my beautiful 2011 Z4 two months ago (leased) and picked up a new Vespa for the summer until my black MT M2 arrives in late September. Will be a bit of a jump
This will be my first M car. I've never been more excited about a car in my life. The wait was a nightmare at the beginning but it's almost May already so the times flying past. I'm preparing myself for a delay but hopefully not. I'm based in Zurich Switzerland. |

I almost got one until the m2 caught my attention. Loved my test drives but was always apprehensive about the 'fun' factor and no manual. How did you enjoy your ownership ...aside from the glorious noises it makes lol

Starting my collection of track cars. Currently have a 469hp DC2; FF build (since 1999 lol). M2 will also be a track queen. Driving to and from the track of course. Daily is a company vehicle 2016 explorer. Missed my 335i since it was sold back in 2010 and looking forward to owning my first M (if all goes as planned with the dealer).

2006 330i that now has 209,000 miles on it. It is still a very nice car so I am passing it on to my 16 year old as her first car. I am looking forward to the power, acceleration, braking and handling on the M2. Plan on doing some track days and just have fun going out for some drives on the weekend. I have a Ford Escape that is a work car I commute in so I will be able to keep the M2 for fun.
