What are you currently driving and what are you most excited about for the M2?
Thought this would be an interesting topic- What are you all currently driving before your beloved M2's arrive, and what are you most excited about/ going to miss about your current car?
I'll start it off... Coming from a leased 2013 B8.5 S4 (mostly stock). I've never owned a RWD car, so probably most excited about the prospect of being able to kick the tail out. Exhaust sound should also be a major step up from my S4, but I'm gunna miss the immediate responsiveness of the supercharger. |

Exactly my situation. Already miss my 1er but probably only because I haven't been able to drive my car since I got it (4/16). That should change tomorrow.

I had a 228i with the M-sport and track packages. After putting 1800 miles on my M2, I can say the M2 is noisier and the ride is firmer. As far as a driving tool... Comparing the steering accuracy is like comparing a Buck knife in need of a quick honing to a surgeon's scalpel. The 228 required deliberate commitment to straight line braking if you wanted to keep from understeering. If I get understeer in the M2, it's because I'm being an idiot. The 228 brakes were very good, the M2s are noticeably better. Acceleration-wise, the M2 will tear off your head and crap down your neck.

Lots of 135i guys! I guess it's the natural progression.
Driving an '11 E92 M3. I'm looking to add the M2 as a DD and graduate the M3 to garage queen status. |

Currently driving a 2014 X5 diesel. Looking forward to getting back into a small coupe, increasing my torque and HP, and overall having a crazy fun car to drive. Had a 323is coupe back in the late 90's and miss the compact size!

I drove an HEA E46 M3 from 2001 - 2008. Replaced it with my 135 (2008 - 2016). E92 M3 was not my cup of tea. Had the 1M been available then, I certainly would've scooped one up.
So, I think it might be fair to say that it's the natural regression. |

Well, you will go up significantly in HP (365 vs 255), but you will be going down significantly in torque (343 lb-ft v. 413 lb-ft) (but also gvwr (4m430 v. 6,400)). Not trying to be a pedantic dick, but diesels are super torquey, so... just clarifying. Plus, comparing the driving dynamics is just... lol...
